C24 Chapter 24

He did not know why he was so suddenly angry upon hearing that she wants to go on a blind date.

"Will you hang up now and face your work?!" He yelled angrily and Melanie faced him and sighed.

"I have to go now Chels! Let's talk later at home!" Mel says and hung up.

Ethan and Rose cast a quick glance at themselves and then smiled.

"He's sure now that Dan likes her" Ethan thought.

"You are very incompetent. You're here making calls when you are supposed to attend to your patient. Wow! How nice of you" He said.

"Excuse me, I'm sorry for taking a phone call but it's important and just so you know you don't to remind me of my duties" Melanie short back defensively.

"And here I was, thinking that you've changed" She muttered. Dan looked at her and walked away opening the door and slamming it angrily.

"What the hell is wrong with him?" She thought and then shrugged.

"Whatever, I don't care. He can get angry for all I care.."

Dan took his car keys and walked out angrily.

Yes, he was damn angry. He was angry at the fact that she was going on a blind date or maybe because she was making a call when she is supposed to attend to her patient and she still had the guts to yell at him.

"What the hell? She thinks she is so special, doesn't she?" He muttered.

Chelsea dropped the phone and went to the bathroom to take a warm bath.

She came out and walked straight into her room. She stared at herself in the mirror and smiled.

"You have to forget him Chelsea, He was never yours to begin with. You can do it, Move on" She said with a smile and brought out her hair dryer and started drying her hair.

"Chels!!!" She heard Melanie yell in the living room.

*She's back? How come I didn't notice?!" Chelsea thought.

"In the room!!" She yelled back.

She heard fast footsteps approaching the room and she smiled.

She was in for big trouble.

Melanie opened the door and walked in toward her and grabbed her half dried hair and Chelsea started laughing.

"You bitch! Why did you call me at work and that blind date stuff?!" She yelled pulling her hair harder and Chelsea groaned.

"So, sorry, I was just too excited!" Chelsea said with a chuckle and Melanie released her hair and sighed worriedly.

"But on a serious note, My boss was angry. I feel guilty. I don't like the fact that he is angry with me" She said and fell on the bed and Chelsea smirked.

"Why? You carely didn't care before? So why do you now?"Chelsea said and wore her clothes.

"I just don't know. But him angry at me makes me feel bad" She said with a pout.

"And to think that I spoke to him so rudely earlier..." She said and sighed deeply.

She suddenly sat up.

"Do you think I should call him?" She asked Chelsea and Chelsea shrugged but she groaned remembering something.

"I don't have his number" She groaned and fell on the bed again.

"Whatever? Are you still in on the blind date?" Chelsea said.

"Hmmmn..." She replied without thinking.

"I'm off to the kitchen" Chelsea said.

The next day.

Work was boring for Melanie because she didn't even see or speak with Dan. He was in the hospital yet she didn't even get a glimpse of him. She had went to Rose's room several times but to no avail, he didn't show up.

She was afraid to go to his office for the fear of being scolded.

She stood up and made her way to Rose's room. She was already done with her patients for the day and it was almost evening.

Suddenly her phone rang. It was unknown number. She hesitated before she later picked it.

"Hello.." A masculine voice said from the other line.

"Hello? Who am I speaking with?"

"I'm David Cha, executive assistant to the CEO of "THE YOO ENTERPRISES" He said and Melanie gasped.

"Yeah, her blind date. Chelsea gave her his contract and they chatted but not for too long. She was surprised because she didn't expect him to be the assistant to the CEO of such a huge company.

"Yeah, we spoke yester night" She said with a chuckle.

"We were supposed to meet at four today. Are you ready?" He asked and she gasped.

She was not even prepared at all.

"Yeah, sure. Text me the address" She says.

"I did that yesterday. Did you forget?" He asked and laughed.

"No, of course not.." Melanie laughed.

"I will be there" She said.

"I will be expecting you beauty" He said and Melanie laughed and hung up.

Gosh! She has see Dan so she tell him and take permission. She had totally forgotten about the blind date.

She hurriedly packed her stuff in her bag and Dan Dan opened the door and walked in.

Unknown to her, he has been listening to their conversation right from the start.

"Where is our Doc Melanie going?" He asked with a smirk conveying the fact that he was angry.

Melanie froze immediately and looked up.

She noticed that he was looking more handsome today. He always wore casual dresses but yet he looked good.

"Snap that thought out of your senses" She quickly reprimanded herself.

She swallowed hard at nothing. She looked down and then looked up again at him.

"Hmmn Sir, I was just about to meet you. Can I go out early today?" She asked.

"For your blind date?!" He said.

"Sir, please" She said pleading.

"You seem excited. You've never begged me before"

Melanie rolled her eyes. He was starting to get on her nerves.

"You haven't even met but you like him already.." Dan said and she scoffed.

"Kim Dan, I don't have time for this. Yes you are my boss but you don't have any right to interfere with my personal life. You're becoming annoying. Yeah, you can fire me if you want to. I don't care. I'm sure other hospitals will be ready to receive me. First learn to fix your personality. You're way too bossy" She said and was about walking out when he suddenly grabbed her forearm and immediately pinned her to the wall.

"What the hell are you doing? Get the hel...."

She couldn't complete her statement because he smashed his lips on hers angrily.
