C26 Chapter 26

I've decided to resign..." Melanie said with a determined look.

"What?" Chelsea said and stood up.

"What do you mean by that?!"

"You're just gonna give up your dreams just for a guy. Remember you became a doctor cause of your parent's death. Don't forget that!!" She yelled and Melanie stood up.

"It's not like it's the only hospital that I can work in. I can get employed by other hospitals!" She said and Chelsea sighed.

"You're just too frustrating

"Suit yourself.." She said and walked away.

Melanie sighed sadly and sat down.

The next day.

Melanie stared at the wall clock. She still sat on the bed without moving. She had made up her mind not to go to work today. She sighed and stood up just the clock ticked "12pm". She ran to the bathroom and freshened up. Chelsea had left for work earlier. She came out and dressed up. She looked at the mirror and sighed.

"Yes, you can do this,Melanie...." She said and smiled.

"You mean Doc Melanie hasn't showed up yet. Isn't her shift supposed to start by 8PM?" He asked the nurse and the nurse nodded.

"Fine, you can go..." He said and she bowed and left. He sighed.

"Why are you making things hard for me Melanie? You should at least listen to me?" He said to no one in particular.

He ran his hands into his hair and suddenly an idea popped up in his head. He stood up and grabbed his car keys and hurriedly walked out.

Dan came out of his car and stared at the house.

He was glad that he remembered her house address at the moment. He smiled and was about to walk further when the gate suddenly opened and Melanie walked out already dressed. She locked the gate and then turned to meet the greatest shock of her life.

"Dan...." She called. She immediately turned and made to unlock the gate when Dan suddenly ran to her and grabbed her forearm.

"What are you doing? Let me go!" She yelled and pushed him off.

"Why are you here?" She asked him.

"Why are you so cold? Melanie you see what happened yesterday was...."

"A mistake right? Yeah I know and that's why I've decided to resign from Lee Kim's hospital!" She said and Dan stared at her shocked.

"What are you saying? Why won't you let me explain first?" He yelled.

"That's because I don't need your explanation. we all know who you are Kim Dan!" She said.

She chuckled dryly and brought out an envelope from her bag and gave it to him.

"I thought I would have to come to your company to give you this! But thankfully you are here!" She said. and gave him the paper.

"I want to resign from your company cause I don't want to see your face ever again.." She said and Dan smirked.

"Why are you smirking?" She asked him but he didn't say any thing.

He smiled dryly and tore the paper without looking at its contents and she gasped.

"What..." She didn't complete her statement when he crashed his lips on hers though it was only brief.

"I wanted to show you it's not mistake" He said again with a smile and Melanie wondered if he had gone crazy.

"Kim Dan, you.." She couldn't complete her statement when he did it again.

He pulled her by waist and kissed her again deeply and this time she couldn't help but respond to the kiss. He broke the kiss and whispered to her and her eyes widened.

"You really think you can get away from me..."

She quickly disengaged from him but he was quick to pull her again by her waist.

"What are you doing? let me go this instant Kim Dan!" She snarled at him but he smiled and she clenched her fists.

"Do you really think I am joking?" She asked with widened eyes.

"I'm resign..." Another kiss interrupted her.

"Are you crazy?!" She yelled and he smiled the more caressing her hair.

"Yeah Crazy for you..." He said.

"And one more thing, I don't accept your resignation" He said and Melanie's eyes widened.

"You have to. I'm not going back there.." She said.

"You are so stubborn huh? then I will have to do what I have to do?" He said and winked at her.

"What the hell is wrong with him?" She thought and she held her chest as she could feel if racing the more.

"I need to go now or i will fall victim to his advances?." She thought but.

Suddenly she could no longer feel her legs on the floor. She gasped when she saw Dan carrying her in a bridal style.

" Kim Dan? Hey!"

"What are you doing? Let me go!" She yelled swinging her legs.

"You know you look cute this way..." He said and winked at her. She quickly removed her gaze from him.

"Drop me down now!" She yelled and he kissed her again this time more deeply and longer. He broke the kiss and stared at her.

"If you continue talking, I'll continue to kiss you. you can keep on ranting so I'll have the chance to kiss you the more.." He told her smiling at her cutely.

Melanie looked the other way trying to hide her burning cheeks and Dan laughed.

She was just too cute and he loved that. He loved every thing about her. her craziness! just literally every thing about her. He knew he was damn crazy and smitten about her but he didn't care.

"Stop hiding your face from me, I know you are blushing!" He said and Melanue looked at him and suddenly hit him lightly on the chest.

"You are crazy!"

"I know and I'm glad I'm crazy about you.." He replied.

"Yeah, you've really gone crazy!" She yelled and he chuckled again.
