C32 Chapter 32

Rodger picked up his phone and excuse himself.

He stopped and dalied his number.

"Is he still alive?" He asked gently.

"Yes,..."

"What? Are you crazy or what?"

"Why didn't you kill him during the surgery, you should have made sure that he doesn't survive!" He snapped angrily.

"You don't understand..." Doc Anderson said and paused.

"I can't do that, my doctors were all watching me. I can't taint my reputation..." Anderson yelled also.

"If you know what's best for you, you better look for ways to kill him before he wakes up.." Rodger said and hung up.

He sighed heavily and clenched his fists.

"What are you doing here?" He heard a voice say and sent cold chills down his spine but then he smiled and immediately he turned back to see Ethan glaring at him.

"Son..." He called with the wide smile still playing on his lips.

"I'm not your son. Where were you when I needed you? Where were you when mom died?!" He yelled angrily.

"Let me explain..." Rodger said trying to touch him but he moved back angrily.

"I don't care for any of your stupid explanations!" He snapped while Rodger sighed again.

"You don't have to care about me as you did before. I don't your care and neither does Dan need it. we all are okay on our own!" He snapped and then walked away.

"Everything I'm doing is for you son, only you.." He said.

"I know you will understand when the time is right?" He said again and smiled mischievously.

"But first it is Dan that's obstructing us. Once he's gone, you and I will be happy again..." He thought and clenched his fists.

Doc Anderson looked around and opened the door carefully to Dan's room.

His costs was clear, no one was in the room.

He moved closer to the unconscious Dan and smiled.

"He didn't shoot you well because if he did, you would have been dead... so just wait, let me give you this relaxing injection that will make your brain dead and afterwards you will die..." He said with a smirk.

He brought out the syringe and started fixing the necessary things. He stared at the injection again and smiled.

All of a sudden, the door opened revealing Melanie who was one looking better, her hair wet and her clothes changed. Shd was wearing a nose mask but immediately removed it when she saw Doc Anderson trying to inject some thing to Dan.

"What are you doing?" She cut him off guard and the syringe fell from his hand in panic.

"uhm! ,,Hmmn, Doc Melanie, you're here..." He said and she nodded looking at the injection on the floor.

"What's that?" She asked and looked at him to see him trembling.

"And why are you shaking like you have been caught red handed?" She asked and Doc Anderson let out a fake smile.

"Oh, it's nothing. I just wanted to give him his dosage for today.." He says and Melanie sighed.

Doc Anderson stared at the syringe panicking and Melanie slowly bent and picked it up.

"I thought he has taken his dosage for today. I myself administered it to him. So what's this? And besides, we can rush the treatment on him or else his brain might die!" She said with all seriousness and Doc Anderson gulped hard.

"Sorry Doc Melanie, I could,,, I mean I didn't know that you had already administered the injection to him.." He said and hurriedly snatched the syringe from her.

"I will be leaving..." He said and left immediately leaving her in bewilderment.

"He's acting really weird..." She said and then sighed before she took Dan's hands in hers and then leaned closer and kissed his forehead.

"Kim Dan, get better for me,hmmm.. " She said and slowly caressed his cheeks.

"If you wake up, I want to tell you what you badly want to hear. I love you. I love you so much Kim Dan and I know you will be glad to hear this but first you need to wake up. Wake up for me uh!" He said and kissed his hands again.

"I really miss you and your tantrums. Every thing and Every where just feels so empty without you. I feel so empty without you!" She said and sighed. A tear fell from her right eye and she quickly wiped it off.

Hidden place.

"What do you mean you could not do a thing.." Rodger yelled at him.

"It's that stupid girlfriend of his, she is closing monitoring him!" Anderson spat out angrily and Rodger clenched his fists.

"Now, I'm not only after the property and wealth, but I'm after that his stupid girlfriend. She is the hindrance to all my plans and so I will have to eliminate her soon..." Rodger said and lighted his cigarette before placing it on his lips with a cold look on his face.

"Melanie Steven, you are the next on my watch list so you better be careful!" He said.

LEE KIM'S HOSPITAL.

THE NEXT DAY, 7AM

Melanie groaned and opened her eyes, her head was on the bed and her hands were still entangled with Dan's.

She smiled tearfully and whispered "Good Morning..."

"I really hope you wake up today cause I can't bear losing you..." She whispered.

Suddenly his left index finger moved and Melanie's eyes widened.

"Dan..." She called whispering.

And almost immediately Dan's eyes fluttered opened and she gasped. His eyes scanned everywhere trying to register and process what had happened.

She hugged him tightly as tears flowed from her eyes while he blinked his eyes in confusion.

She pulled away and smiled holding his hands but he was quick to push her way. Melanie looks at him surprised.

"Dan..." She called and tried to touch him again but he turned his face away leaving Melanie.

He groaned slightly before asking her a shocking question.

"Who are you?!"
