C8 Chapter 08

Chelsea blinked her eyes repeatedly staring into his dark beautiful eyes.

*Is he crazy or what?* She thought.

"Get out you pervert!" She said and Ethan smiled revealing his cute dimples.

"Miss, why are you always grouchy. I'm trying to help here not like anything else" He said with a smile and Chelsea couldn't help but admire his smiles.

He was cute with his dimples. He was really so cute* She thought.

"So do you think that kissing me is helping me?" She asked coldly.

"I was just joking Miss. I just wanted you to smile" He said and Chelsea scoffed.

"You look like a beautiful villain " He said and Chelsea couldn't help but chuckle.

"Get lost!" She snapped and turned to leave but he grabbed her by her wrist and she turned to look at him.

"What are you doing? Let go!" She snapped and he smiled again and touched her forehead.

"You went berserk earlier asking me to buy your coffee back so that's what I'm going to do" He said and Chelsea scoffed.

"Fine then" She shrugged.

"I want two cups of Americano" She said.

Ethan sighed and then nodded.

"Not fair, but I'll get you that anyway" He said and she smiled.

"Finally, you smiled. You look more like an angel right now" He said and she scoffed and looked away.

"By the way I'm Ethan Kim and you're?"He said and Chelsea looked at him.

"Buy me the coffee first and I'll tell you my name" She said and rolled her eyes.

"Fine then. Let's go" He said and held her right hand and immediately Chelsea gasped and looked at their linked hands. Ethan turned and looked at her.

"What?!" He asked as he creased his brows.

"Huh?! Nothing!" She replied immediately but still kept on looking at their linked hands as they walked off.

Melanie sighed as she walked slowly to the elevator.

Different thoughts filled her head as she walked in. She sighed as she pressed the button. The elevator opened and she walked in not even noticing Dan's presence.

Dan brought down his phone from his face and stared at her as she pressed the button on the elevator. He scoffed and faced his phone again.

"That annoying arrogant jerk, I hate you Dan" She muttered under her breath and Dan immediately looked up.

Suddenly her phone started to ring.

"Gosh!" She groaned. She was holding some files on her right hand and her bag was on her left hand, and in the bag, there was her phone which was stuck deep in it. She tried to open her bag but it swayed and fell behind her. She groaned and turned to take her bag.

"Aaargh!" She yelled in fright upon seeing Dan and Dan smirked.

"Why are you so scared? Is it because you already said some awful things?" He asked and she scoffed.

"Yeah but we are no longer at work, Doc Dan. I can say whatever I want" She said and scoffed and he sighed.

"There is no use talking to a person stubborn as you" He said and faced his phone.

She rolled her eyes and wanted to bend down to pick her bag but suddenly the files slipped off her hand and scattered on the floor.

Melanie hissed and crouched and Dan looked at her immediately. She started picking the papers one by one.

Dan rolled his eyes and then crouched before her to help her pick the papers and immediately Melanie looked up and she stared at him surprised.

"What are you doing?" She asked as she snatched the paper from him not forcefully though.

"Helping you, is that bad?" He asked.

"Yeah, everything about you is bad" She snapped at him and he smirked.

He looked at her closely and she raised her head and also stared at him.

"Really?" He asked and moved more closer to her.

"Of course, what do you....

He suddenly moved his face closer to hers and a low gasp escaped her lips, almost immediately the lights went out and everywhere became dark.

"Gosh! What's happening?" Dan yelled.

"I don't know what's happening. I'll try to put on my phone's touch!"

"Put it on now! I'll look for mine!" He yelled and Melanie scoffed.

"I can't find my bag"

"What the hell is going on here? Why did the lights suddenly turn off?" He yelled at no one in particular.

"Calm down Doc Dan, be calm we will need to find a solution to this, just be calm" Melanie said to him and he scoffed.

"Solution indeed, if he gets out of here, he's going to make sure he fires all those technicians of his, incompetent fools!" He thought as his breath became heavy. He knew what was about to happen.

"I don't even know where my phone is" He yelled breathing out frantically. He couldn't, he couldn't stay in the dark for even two minutes.

He started breathing very fast gasping for air.

Beads of sweat started to form on his forehead as he gasped for more breath.

He was trying to remove the buttons of his shirt but his hands were trembling, they kept on trembling as they fumbled with the buttons if his shirt but yet, he couldn't unbotton it.

He closed his eyes and then remembered it. That deadly incidence.

No, not now, he does not want to remember the deadly occurrence. Just not now! Please!

Melanie who was hearing some mumbling and gasps turned to look at him.

"Are you okay Doc Dan?" She asked still searching for her phone.

"No! No,,," He muttered breathing erratically.

"Mel,,,, Mela,,, Melanie" He whispered feeling so choked up.

"I found my phone!" Melanie squealed excitedly and turned on the touch and pointed the torch at Dan.

To her surprise, he was already panting and breathing heavily on the side he sat on and trying to remove the button of his shirt, her eyes widened immediately.

"What was going on?" She thought.

"Dan!" She called worriedly and quickly went to him. She crouched beside him and held his hand.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"Get,,, me,,, out of here" He managed to say and Melanie immediately nodded and brought out her phone.

"Let me try calling Doc Judy!" She said and dalied Judy's number. She picked up at the second beep.

"Help us! We are stuck,,, I mean Doc Dan is stuck. Help us! Help us! Please be fast!" She yelled frantically and ended the call and moved closer to Dan.

"Doc Dan, what's going on? I don't understand? Why are you like this?" She yelled.

She touched his hands which was getting colder.

"What's happening Dan!" She yelled and then tears ran out from her eyes.

"Help us! Someone help us!" She yelled as she embraced Dan tightly.

"Please don't die please. Don't die on me!" She yelled as she caressed his hair.

Dan groaned as he continued to remember it.

*Son of a bitch! You murderer! You killed someone. You don't deserve to be my son*

He groaned again and Melanie pulled him closer and ran her hands through his hair and then patted him gently and Dan found himself calming down.

"Dan, calm down, you'll be fine. You'll be fine. Be calm" She said softly and continued to pat him gently.

Her voice was just like music to his ears and slowly he calmed down and almost immediately the lights turned on and the elevator opened.

Both Dan and Melanie looked up and found different pairs of eyes staring at them.
