C9 Chapter 09

Melanie looked at them all in gritted teeth.

"Why are you all just standing and looking?!" Melanie snapped.

"Won't you all help and stop standing there?" She yelled out frantically.

She helped Dan up, his right hand wrapped around her waist.

"Don't,,, let anyone,,, touch me" He whispered to her and she sighed.

*Is he crazy, he's in danger and all he thinks about is not letting anyone touch him and he's still giving me conditions.." She muttered.

"I'll be fine, I just need a bit of fresh air" He spoke in a low tone and closed his eyes.

Just then Doc Judy and the others tried to assist Melanie but she shoved their hands away.

"He doesn't want anyone else to touch him" She told him and Doc Judy scoffed.

"She's acting like she's his girlfriend.." Doc Judy said and rolled her eyes. She glared at them as they walked away from the scene.

"I hate her!" She muttered.

Meanwhile Melanie was already exhausted assisting Dan. They got to his car and she opened the door for him.

Suddenly they both heard a loud shrill.

"Brother, Brother!"

Dan scoffed and rolled his eyes.

*Not again! Another trouble! How the hell did this guy find out*

Ethan rushed up to him and hugged him tightly leaving Dan choking.

"I,,,, Can't breath.." Dan muttered and Ethan freed him with a worried look.

"How the hell did your panic attack come back?!" He yelled out .

"Who told you?" Dan asked and sighed again.

"Well Mr Anderson called Dad who in turn called me and I ran all the way leaving a beautiful lady behind" He said with a bright smile.

"I thought you were worried about me, so why are you thinking of a lady now" Dan said and rolled his eyes.

"Come on, Bro, I love you, you know you are the only brotherI have in this entire world!" He said and made to peck Dan on his cheeks but Dan pushed him off with a disgusting look on his face .

"Ewww"

Melanie watched these two keenly. She actually got to see the other side of Dan, he was this playful with his brother.

Ethan scoffed and rolled his eyes but then seeing that Dan was now looking at Melanie. He used that as an opportunity.

He grabbed his shirt and gave him a kiss on his cheeks.

Dan's eyes widened but Ethan immediately pulled away and moved back before sticking his tongue out to Dan.

"I love you brother.."

Dan sighed obviously frustrated by his litter brother's whims.

Melanie could not even hold herself any longer, she busted into laughter.

*Dan looks so cute when he acts like this*

It was then that Ethan noticed her.

His eyes trailed to Melanie's hand which was now holding Dan's hand in order to assist him.

His eyes suddenly beamed and Dan noticed the weird look on his face.

"You're his girlfriend right?" He said with a huge smile.

"No..." They both said in unison and they both looked at each other while Ethan looked at them with a smirk playing on his lips.

"I know that's a lie but anyways..." He paused and Dan groaned.

"You look so beautiful. Brother made a good choice. He has nice taste in choosing ladies" Ethan added and Melanie furrowed her brows while Dan scoffed.

"He's not my boyfriend"

"She's not my girlfriend"

They both said at the same time and Ethan smiled.

" So then why are your hands locked together" He said with a sly grin and both Melanie and Dan unlocked their hands from each other.

"You see,,,"

"No need to explain, my brother is such a gentleman and he will take care of you" He said and Dan hit him on the head.

"She's not my girlfriend so let's go" He said.

"And you're gonna drive" He said and gave the car keys before he then pushed him to the front.

Ethan glared at him before he entered the car and Dan did the same.

He was about to close the door when he suddenly remembered something.

Melanie turned and was about walking away when she felt someone grab her wrist. She turned back immediately and discovered it was Dan looking at her. He sighed as if he wanted th something but then he didn't. He kept on looking at her.

"If you have nothing..."

"Thank you.." He interrupted her.

"For being there and helping me" He added his eyes not leaving hers.

A blush suddenly crept on her face and she quickly removed his hands from her wrist.

"It's no big deal. You're welcome" She said and quickly ran off before he could notice that she was blushing.
