C23 Chapter # 23

After bidding farewell to mother and father, I and Desmond sat in the car and left. I wiped my tears and looked out of the window. My whole being is filled with terror. The dread is eating me up. I shivered at the thought of what might happen to me. On the other hand, I am so perplexed. Why is Desmond making things that complicated? He can finally be freed from this marriage
