C10 Chapter 10

"Good morning, Mr. Richard Leo. Glad to have you honor my invitation."

"It's a pleasure." He replies with a smile.

"You may have your seat." He gestures to him to sit back.

"Thank you." He says abruptly. Both gentlemen sit down. Richard Leo is a man in his sixties but he has no less respect for Ezio because of his position.

He is one of those that gets Ezio puzzled if he's actually the one all these respects are paid to, someone that is maltreated by his own mate because he was poor.

"Excuse sir, I mean no disturb." The PA who is behind him mutters.

"I think I can return to my office as instructed?"

"By who?" Ezio snaps, wondering which staff would be over him.

"By Mr Jackson."

"Oh!" He thought it was a staff that had this order.

"He asked me to show you off here and then return to continue the tasks he assigned to me." Mr Matt explains further.

"You may return," he gestures with a wave of his hand. He would look into the system of things once he gets fully established, and change some prospects to his liking.

"You can always ring me up with the number three on the cellphone when you need me. I'll be right there at your service."

"Thank you." He turns back to Mr Richard Leo seated right in front of him.

"I hope it's not going to be a tough class?" He jokes. No matter who now is, part of that simple, casual life is still inside him. He remembers the way he often joked with some of his passengers.

Richard Leo is amused, he coughs out a laugh.

"I think so but the President is no small thing. Being a President of a big empire like this requires a lot and a lot you must learn." He chuckles.

With everything settled and all the necessary documents acquired, Ezio takes full possession of Wit-can law firm where both his wife and mother-in-law works.

“I'll start my revenge from here!” He says to himself, nodding his head in a sinister style. His eyes darken and his heart hardens.

The major way he would weaken both of them is by snatching their work off them and they will go bankrupt, their pride will certainly come down.

News circulates the whole world that Wit-can law firm has been handed over to an anonymous President who wishes to remain so until he decides otherwise.

People are tensed to know who Alpha Jackson, one of the world's richest Alphas handed it over to.

Ezio schedules a special meeting with the new head of the personnel department, he's in charge of recruiting, promoting and dismissing the members of the legal firm.

This meeting is termed to address an issue Ezio had always had in his mind for sometime now.

He and Mr Daniel sit in on a round table discussion. Ezio begins by clearing his throat, he had already mandated all the senior staff of the industry to keep his identity a secret or risk being fired and sued.

He's now in power and capable of doing all that, they are afraid of this and play by the rules.

"Daniel, I'll ask you to do one special thing for me." He says with decisiveness, firm eyes which creates tension in the man sitting opposite him at the far end of the long table.

"Yes sir?" He smiles, it's an honor to have a man, older than him with probably forty years estimate calling him sir.

Hormones spark across his veins as it dawns on him that he's now a billionaire.

He heaves a sigh of relief, looks up to Mr Daniel.

"I want you to throw Daisy and Nancy out of my law firm."

"What, I mean what did they do?"

"Don't dare argue with me, this' my company." He says firmly, then he remembers he's talking to an older man, though he's in charge, he still has to give him some respect.

"Oh sorry, I mean throw them out, just fire them. Their services are no longer needed in Wit-can law firm." He says kind of casually here, blushing with face downward at how they will react when they receive the news.

He hopes to be present when the news reaches them. To ensure this, he asks Mr Elione to send them the termination of appointment letter at night, when he'll be at home.

It came as he expected, Daisy is sitting on the executive chair fiddling on her phone.

Today was a great day, she got to rehearse for a potential client who had met and consulted her for his business case. She has high hopes of making high returns.

He heard them making the discussion in the morning with her mom. Daisy was so thrilled, she told her mom she couldn't wait to appear in court to defend her client and she was sure to win.

"Now your dreams will soon be aborted." Ezio says inside himself, as he sits on the ground watching TV with Daisy, she wouldn't let him sit on the executive chair with her.

He raises his head from time to time to stare at the clock on the wall. He had authorized the man to send the termination letter through email to her and Nancy at exactly 11 PM and it's 10:57 PM, three minutes to the time.

Ezio tries hard to control his excitement, when he wants to grin, he covers his mouth pretending he wants to sneeze or cough. Daisy's hateful eyes lands on him, he shivers slightly wondering if she noticed what he was doing.

"Go and get me a glass of water from the refrigerator. Now!" She barks as Ezio was a bit slow in rising up, he hastens out of the parlor to the kitchen downstairs.

He's on his way up with a glass of chilled water in a glass when he hears a terrifying scream from upstairs.

"What's that? What's that?" Nancy rushes in from the adjoining room panting. It has happened, Ezio stands at the door over the transparent glass corner, with sinister smiles, they can't see him from where he stands but he can see them.

He's so happy right now. He decides to stand for a while to watch how the drama goes.
