C7 Kidnapping

"Alright, back to the point. Miss Soong, you graduated from Preston University abroad and clearly had better job opportunities overseas. Why did you choose to develop your career here instead?"

Soong Yingying quickly composed herself and articulated clearly, "Even though I graduated from a university abroad, that doesn't mean I have to work overseas. My roots are here, and eventually, I want to come back to where I belong. Besides, your company is a leader in the design industry, and its main style aligns perfectly with my field of study. Not to mention, your company offers excellent employee benefits..."

Her words were flawless, and everyone looked at her with admiration. Soong Yingying smiled proudly, but when she turned her head, she noticed the man sitting next to her seemed distracted, which made her feel a bit disappointed.

"Miss Soong, this interview is over. Please wait for our response."

"Alright, thank you, Manager."

One interview followed another, and Yeh Beijin frowned as the person he was expecting still hadn't shown up. His eyes reflected impatience. Why hadn't she come for the interview? He clearly saw her name on the list. Did she forget, or...

Everyone watched their CEO's darkening expression, utterly confused about his sudden bad mood. No one dared to speak, and the room fell into an awkward silence.

Suddenly, a tall man moved to stand by the floor-to-ceiling window. Yeh Beijin picked up his phone and made a call.

“Hello, the number you have dialed is not available...” The mechanical voice repeated over and over, and a sense of unease crept into Yeh Beijin's mind.

"Ye Yuan, find someone for me..."

Afterward, everyone watched as the boss, looking grim and silent, walked away.

In the parking garage two levels below a well-known nightclub, a Range Rover was parked in a spot. Its sleek black body and streamlined design exuded an understated luxury.

Soon, a man in a gray trench coat stepped out of the car with long strides. His appearance was striking. A chiseled face, perfectly shaped thin lips, eyes sharp as a sword, and a strong, unyielding presence between his dark brows.

The gray trench coat highlighted his athletic build, hinting at a formidable strength beneath. This man was undeniably captivating.

Inside the nightclub, the atmosphere was wild and indulgent. Women danced boldly and seductively to the pulsating music, stirring the crowd's emotions. Men occasionally touched the women suggestively, engaging in silent flirtation. Everything was consensual, and the air was thick with a decadent, hedonistic vibe.

As soon as he walked into the nightclub, someone was there to greet him. Judging by the person's demeanor, they seemed to hold a significant position, sparking curiosity about his identity among the onlookers.

"Do you know who he is?"

"You don't know? That's Luo Yi, the young master of the Luo family."

"Which Luo family?"

"Who else but the Luo family, one of the top four families in the capital, could receive such treatment?"

"I heard he joined the military. What's he doing back here?"

"Who knows?"

Hearing this, the crowd's interest in Luo Yi intensified. The women couldn't hide their fascination, while the men were filled with awe. Suddenly, Luo Yi cast a cool glance their way, and the chatter ceased immediately.

He then swiped his long fingers across his phone screen to unlock it. Displayed was a beautiful woman with striking features: big, expressive eyes, elegantly arched brows, and slightly pouted rosy lips. Her complexion was smooth and flawless, like porcelain. She was smiling brightly, exuding innocence and charm.

Watching this, the sharpness in Luo Yi's eyes softened, transforming into a warmth as gentle as melting snow in the winter sun.

Suddenly, someone bumped into Luo Yi's arms. He looked closely and saw it was a woman. She was out of breath from running, her chest rising and falling slightly, her fair face flushed. The next second, Luo Yi immediately pushed the unfamiliar woman away.

"Catch her, don't let her get away!" The footsteps behind her were getting closer, and Yang Wanwan felt even more panicked. Looking at the distinguished Luo Yi, her eyes pleaded for help.

"Sir, please help me. I have no quarrel with them, but they're trying to kidnap me," she said. Yang Wanwan was utterly exhausted, her legs trembling as if she might collapse at any moment.

An hour earlier, when Yang Wanwan woke up, she found herself abandoned in a small room. The sharp pain in her neck made her realize she'd been kidnapped. Where was she? Who did this? Why? Countless questions flashed through her mind.

Soon, she heard footsteps outside the door—more than one person. She quickly closed her eyes, lying on the floor, pretending to be unconscious.

The door creaked open.

"Hey, why do you think we're supposed to ruin this woman?"

"Must be some grudge, but I do feel sorry for her."

"Since when did you start feeling sorry for anyone?"

"Haha, you're right. It's a job that pays and offers some fun..."

"Hahaha..."

Yang Wanwan overheard the men's conversation, and her heart skipped a beat, her palms damp with sweat.

Who are they? Why are they doing this?

Images of that man from the North flashed through her mind, connecting the dots with the strange events of recent days. Could it all be related to him?

Yang Wanwan felt a chill run down her spine. What should she do? How could she escape?

"Seems like she's still out cold. Should we wake her up?"

She didn't need to see it to know the man was wearing a disgusting grin.

"Can't wait, can you?"

"Heh..."
