C15 Mysterious Female Police

Wynne and the Winter Soldier were gasping for breath as they looked up at Han Feng.

A heavy weight settled in Han Feng's chest as he realized they had lost two warriors in under a minute.

If not for Wynne's combat instincts, he might have...

"I... I understand." Han Feng tightened his grip, fists clenched with resolve. He had to break out—Liu Rui and the Wei siblings were counting on him!

The roars outside the door and the swarm of zombies below set Han Feng's mind racing.

This didn't make sense. How could there be so many zombies?

The strange behavior of the third-floor zombies and the current horde left Han Feng baffled.

"What's happening with the system?" he queried, unable to make sense of it.

"The system cannot respond to the commander's question. Please construct a radar building..."

Han Feng's heart sank. Without a radar, he was in the dark.

He pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and focused on his gold coins.

776 gold coins.

"Summon an Engineer and two mobilization soldiers! Confirm!" Han Feng commanded through gritted teeth.

He was gambling on the Engineer's ability to unlock the equipment warehouse door.

In the game Red Alert, Engineers could enter any building except for defensive structures, even those belonging to enemy factions.

A minute passed...

"Commander, Engineer 0001 reporting for duty!" came the voice from behind Han Feng.

He had grown accustomed to unexpected arrivals.

"Can you unlock the equipment warehouse door?" Han Feng asked straightforwardly.

"Absolutely, no problem," the Engineer replied without a moment's hesitation.

Finally, some good news.

"Commander, I can fix this as well," the Engineer said, gesturing to the air nailer on the floor.

More good news—Han Feng's air nailer could be fixed!

Soon after, two mobilization soldiers reported in.

For ease of command, the new recruits took over as Numbers 2 and 3.

Once the Engineer had repaired the air nailer, he handed it back to Han Feng.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" The office's wooden door teetered on the brink of giving way.

Han Feng knew he needed to get out fast; the equipment room's security door was leagues sturdier than this flimsy wood.

"Grenades ready, numbers two and three! On my mark, throw! Everyone, take cover!" Han Feng barked out commands.

Two grenades sailed through the door's gap.

"Boom!" They detonated in near unison, the blast wave clearing a vacuum.

"Go, go, go!" Han Feng shouted, and in an instant, numbers two and three barged through the door.

Zombies outside staggered to their feet.

"Open fire!" Han Feng commanded, lifting his air nailer and unleashing a barrage.

"Ratatat!" Two AK47s roared, mowing down the oncoming horde.

Under the cover of relentless gunfire, Han Feng and his team made quick work of reaching the equipment room's entrance.

Before Han Feng could even issue the command, the engineer had the security door swung open.

Hmm?

That quick? It seemed as though he'd simply pulled it open with his hands.

Han Feng glanced at the engineer's hands—nothing there.

Shaking off the thought, Han Feng strode into the equipment room, his group close on his heels.

With the security door shut behind them, Han Feng finally allowed himself a moment of relief.

Regaining his composure, he surveyed the room.

Handcuffs, batons, riot helmets, ropes, shields—none of which were of use to Han Feng.

Venturing further, he came to a halt.

Guns, yes, but there was something else—underneath the gun cabinet lay an unconscious female officer.

Her slender, toned figure was accentuated by a neat ponytail.

Dressed in a black combat uniform, she clutched a Type 92 pistol.

Her face was down, hidden from view, but the steady rise and fall of her abdomen told Han Feng she was alive.

"Winter Soldier, check on her," Han Feng instructed, his gaze fixed on the officer, sensing something amiss.

"Be careful," he cautioned as Winter Soldier moved past him.

Winter Soldier hoisted his fire axe, while Han Feng leveled his air nailer.

The distance between them was rapidly closing.

As Winter Soldier approached the policewoman, she abruptly opened her eyes.

She sprang up, spinning mid-air to deliver an elbow strike! Before touching down, she kicked high, landing a blow on Winter Soldier's neck.

Caught off guard, Winter Soldier was floored. It was only his extraordinary physical resilience that saved him from being overwhelmed by the successive blows.

The policewoman hit the ground and immediately assumed a firing stance.

All of this unfolded in the blink of an eye.

"Click-click" – the sound echoed from Han Feng's gun.

The policewoman's weapon was empty.

"Move in! Take her alive!" Han Feng commanded, though a storm of disbelief raged within him.

She was incredibly formidable! To have taken down Winter Soldier so swiftly and then to have zeroed in on him – if only her gun had been loaded...

Han Feng shuddered at the thought, a chill sweat breaking out across his back.

Number Two, Three, and Wynne charged simultaneously, with Winter Soldier scrambling to his feet.

The policewoman faced down the quartet of red-clad soldiers without a hint of panic.

Her combat skills were on full display – a symphony of kicks, blocks, and holds.

Number Two was sent flying with a kick. As he regained his footing, he lifted his gun to fire.

But Han Feng's orders were clear: they needed her alive, so Number Two aimed for her legs instead of her head.

"Don't shoo—" Han Feng's voice cut off abruptly.

He couldn't speak... couldn't move!

Desperately, Han Feng fought against his paralysis, but it was in vain.

Even his gaze and his breath were frozen.

The world seemed to come to a standstill.

Yet, his thoughts remained unaffected.

In Han Feng's petrified field of view, the red soldiers stood as statues, immobile.

Number Two was frozen mid-shot, and Wynne's knife hovered inches from the policewoman.

An eerie stillness permeated the air.

In the midst of this suspended reality, Han Feng noticed the policewoman stir.

In that instant, Han Feng realized that she was the architect of this chaos.

The policewoman slowly withdrew the saber from Wynne's grasp and staggered towards Han Feng.

She raised the blade deliberately, aligning it with the height of Han Feng's neck.

Closer and closer it came...

The woman who had valiantly fought off four red police soldiers now seemed as frail as an elderly crone.

Yet, even in her weakened state, it would be all too easy for her to dispatch a defenseless man.

One step, two steps...

As the policewoman inched forward, Han Feng's mind raced with panic, pleading with the system, "What do I do? What can I do?"

"The system cannot provide an answer, Commander. Please construct a radar..."

"Damn it! Always with the radar! If I survive this, building a radar will be my first order of business!" Han Feng despaired.

The policewoman drew ever nearer, her steps increasingly unsteady.

"Thud!" Han Feng watched as she collapsed to her knees just two paces away, her complexion ghostly.

Struggling to lift her head, she fixed Han Feng with a gaze full of defiance. The saber, heavy as lead, descended slowly.

"Clang! Clang! Clang!" The saber hit the floor, and the policewoman slumped over, unconscious.

"Bang! Bang!" The gunshots echoed deafeningly in the enclosed space.

"Phew..." With the sound of Number Two's gunfire, Han Feng finally drew a breath of fresh air.

"Bind her!" he commanded with a shaky voice, having narrowly cheated death.

Minutes later, the policewoman was securely bound with police rope.

Once Han Feng was certain she couldn't escape, he allowed himself to relax and took a moment to really look at her.

Her form-fitting combat suit showcased her figure impeccably. The battle had been too intense for him to notice her face before.

Despite her pallor, her refined, oval face captivated Han Feng.

She was a vision, making the so-called campus belle from his school days pale in comparison.

As he gazed at the bound policewoman...

"What am I even thinking? She was just trying to kill me!" Han Feng berated himself, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Once the crisis had been averted, Han Feng recalled the pressing matter of visiting the equipment warehouse. He instructed Number Two, Number Three, and the engineer to remain with the policewoman while he, along with Winter Soldier and Wynne, set out to comb through the equipment warehouse.
