C3 DEVIL IN DISGUISE

•NARRATOR'S POV•

Jordan and Sophie made an eye contact, but Jordan looked away like she's just a passerby to him, which she is, according to Jordan's train of thought.

When Sophie saw the way he ignored her stare, she became upset. Sophie is the queen of the college, intelligent and rich. Everybody Sophie came across tries to connect with her, including the lecturers in the college because she's already a self-made billionaire at such a young age. From other people's perspective, Sophie's future will be dazzling, as she hasn't reached her prime yet.

‘How dare he pretend not to recognize me? I condemn him to the ninth level of hell for eternal damnation.’ Sophie cursed because she did not know if it was an illusion, but she saw disdain in his exposed pair of azure eyes.

Jordan walked to the security, but since he wasn't with money, he couldn't pay to enter, and also couldn't call Ariel because Sophie recognized him. Jordan does not want to reveal his other identity.

However, Jordan planned to sneak into the club, so he walked to an alley by the side of the bar. He gave the design of the bar, so he knows where the loophole he intentionally left behind is located.

When Sophie saw Jordan was denied of entry, she was naturally happy, but the happiness was short-lived, as Jordan entered a dark alley.

‘Oh no! He wants to do something bad, that's why he is sneaking around. I have to stop him.’ Sophie exclaimed inwardly.

•SOPHIE'S POV•

“Miss Sophie. . . Miss Sophie. . . are you there?” The person calling me was one of my business partners in my wine brewery company.

“Sorry, something came up. I'm going to call you back in a while.” I said hurriedly.

“Okay, take your tim—” I did not let him finish as I hung up the call.

I ran into the alley, but I didn't see Andrew. It looks like he vanished into the thin air.

I walked in slowly, but I did not see any sign of him.

“Phew! Appears that he must have succeeded. I couldn't stop him.” I said as I turned around, but what I saw behind me, made me cringe.

Furthermore, I saw the person I was stalking from behind, Andrew Hale. Andrew has a bad reputation in the college, so there's no way I will be courageous when meeting the college's notorious bad boy.

‘How did he get behind me? I definitely saw him entering this alley.’ I thought as many thoughts were flashing in my head, but I found out that I couldn't escape because behind me, I just discovered that there was a wall, used to block the alley.

‘He won't dare touch me. I'm not some weakling like that senior he beat up.’ I encouraged myself, but just as this thought crossed my mind, Andrew took a step forward. Likewise, I took one step backward. He took another step forward, and I did the same backwardly. My heartbeat was galloping as fast as a running horse. We continued like that until my back met the wall behind me.

Andrew walked up to me and stared at my face. I never wanted to lose out in the contest, so I raised my head slightly to meet his eyes, without looking away. Andrew was a head taller than me.

When I stared deeply into his eyes, that's when I noticed that he had a pair of clear and deep azure eyes, that held immense self-confidence.

“Stop trying to look ferocious. You are shivering.” Andrew said calmly.

“What do you. . . you. . . mean I'm shive—” I stuttered, but Andrew did not allow me finish my speech as he interrupted, “why are you stalking me?”

“Stalking you? Me? Why can't I remember the time I stalked you? I was just taking a walk.” I denied vehemently.

“You see that pole there?” Andrew pointed at a ten meters pole in front of the club. The ten meter pole was visible from all angles because different lights shone on it.

“What do you want to do?” I asked with a quaky voice.

Andrew brought his face closer to my left ear so that his lips would be beside my ears. I could feel his breath against my left ear, as he whispered, “Nothing much. I just want to hang you up there naked. If I don't hear the truth about the reason you were stalking me, I will make you popular in not only Los Angeles.”

Andrew's whisper sounded like the voice of the devil.

“You. . . you wouldn't dare.” I stuttered.

Andrew pulled his face backward, and peered into my eyes for a while, before giving me a lopsided smirk.

I shivered at the sight of the smirk. In my eyes now, Andrew looks like a devil disguised in white.

He brought his face to my left ear and whispered devilishly, “Are you sure I don't dare?”
