C28 Su Rann's Tone Was Quite Arrogant

"Who knows how she got into the company? If she's connected to Hei Lei, how can we be sure of her character?" Mu Feifei, aligning herself with Chi Xin, remarked.

From the moment Su Rann set foot in the company, Mu Feifei had an unfavorable view of her. Seeing Jiang Zhehan consistently by Su Rann's side only intensified her disdain.

Su Rann rose from her chair with composed grace, her gaze icy and penetrating. "If you're aware of my connection to Hei Lei, why continue with these snide remarks? Aren't you concerned about getting mugged on your way home tonight?" Her voice was cool, her eyes unfathomable.

Those around her gasped and stepped back at her words. Hei Lei was not someone they dared to provoke.

"Ms. Rann, rest assured, I will get to the bottom of this," Jiang Zhehan assured her, thinking she was upset about the post.

But Su Rann was never one to concern herself with such trivialities. To her, these people were as inconsequential as driftwood; there was no need for her to lose her temper. Her displeasure stemmed from her intolerance for their incessant chatter. She cherished silence and was accustomed to solitude.

Taking the documents, Su Rann walked past him without a word.

Chi Xin's heart raced with anxiety when she heard Jiang Zhehan was going to handle the situation, fearing her own missteps would come to light. She didn't want to tarnish her image in front of Young Master Jiang.

Upon learning of Su Rann's situation, the Sales Manager's decision was harsh: if Su Rann's performance remained at the bottom for the next six months, she would be terminated. Moreover, she had to secure clients through her own efforts, without leveraging any connections. Any violation would result in immediate dismissal.

Jiang Zhehan, upon hearing this, was incensed and sought to confront the Sales Manager. He knew that with just a word from him, any customer deal was possible.

Ms. Rann was new to the company and unfamiliar with sales, which only fueled his indignation. "What kind of absurd punishment is this? Ms. Rann, wait here. I'm going to have a word with him," Jiang Zhehan declared, rolling up his sleeves as he prepared to leave.

"Sit down!" Su Rann shot a glance at Jiang Zhehan standing before her.

She lifted the cup of red tea before her and sipped it calmly, her movements deliberate and unhurried. "Don't we still have half a year?"

Her voice was cool, and she maintained an air of aloofness that seemed to keep others at a distance.

The surrounding onlookers gave her scornful looks. Lately, it had become common knowledge that Su Rann lacked formal education and credentials. How she got into this place was a mystery to many.

Su Rann seemed overconfident, didn't she? With half a year left, even if she had half a lifetime, it seemed inevitable that she wouldn't make the cut.

That's right, we were all waiting to see Su Rann get fired. We'd see how bold she'd be then!

Without anyone's assistance, we'd see how she managed to secure a deal!

The women in the office who disliked Su Rann couldn't help but smile upon hearing the news.

Liu Jiatong, upon learning of the situation, was both anxious and flustered.

Su Rann's nonchalant demeanor clearly showed she was clueless about sales.

Ultimately, it was her fault. Su Rann had gotten into this mess because she had tried to save her.

She vowed to properly teach Su Rann the ropes of sales, determined not to let her get fired.

"Rann, here are some sales notes I've compiled; they're all classic cases. Take a look when you have time; they'll be helpful," Liu Jiatong said, handing over her secret weapon, a compilation of materials she had meticulously put together over time.

Su Rann accepted the notes, "Okay! Thank you." She flipped through them diligently and upon reaching the last page, she closed the notebook.

"Rann, I know you might not find this interesting at first. If there's anything you don't understand, I can explain it to you. Have you heard about the world's wealthiest woman? There are many successful cases about her here.

She's my idol. Incredibly low-key, she never seeks the spotlight online. I've learned so much from her cases, and I think you could too."

Liu Jiatong's eyes twinkled with admiration as she spoke of her idol.

Su Rann set the notebook aside and picked up "A Brief History of Time" from the bookshelf, perusing it with great interest.

Liu Jiatong shook her head in resignation. It was clear she needed to get Su Rann more involved in their work, and quickly.

Despite being part of the underperforming Group D, they couldn't just throw in the towel. They were determined to turn things around.

"Rann, how about we head to the bookstore after work?" Liu Jiatong suggested. "They have a great selection of sales books. I know you haven't had experience in this field, but there's no need to rush. We've still got six months."

Su Rann seemed captivated by whatever she was reading, her eyes deep and focused. The pen she had been twirling was now gripped tightly in her hand, her earnest expression oddly captivating.

Post-lunch, while others took their breaks, Su Rann's phone buzzed. She glanced at the screen nonchalantly. There was no name attached to the number—just a new task, asking for her by name. Did they want her to take the order?

Her fingers flew over the keys as she typed back a cheeky response, questioning the sanity of the requester. She had made it clear she wasn't taking on new tasks for a while. Was the person who placed the order blind?

She followed up with a firm "No!" before putting her phone away.

After lunch, Liu Jiatong hurried over to Su Rann. "Rann, can we go to the bookstore now? Do you have time?" she asked, her face set with determination. She was adamant about getting Su Rann up to speed on the basics of sales.

"Sure, let's go," Su Rann agreed, noting Liu Jiatong's persistence.

Once at the bookstore, Liu Jiatong dove straight into the sales section, intent on having Su Rann start with the fundamentals. She was confident that with some intensive study, Su Rann wouldn't be at risk of losing her job.

Meanwhile, Su Rann drifted over to the literature section. She pulled a book titled "Wormhole" from the shelf and sat down to read intently.

When Liu Jiatong finally gathered some introductory sales books and looked up to find Su Rann, she was nowhere in sight. With a selection of helpful books in hand, she went looking for her colleague.

She found Su Rann engrossed in "Wormhole" at one of the reading tables. "Rann, you enjoy these kinds of books?" Liu Jiatong asked, somewhat incredulous. To her, it seemed as if these books were from another universe entirely.
