C45 Su Rann Is My Person!

"Ms. Rann, I heard that Liu Jiatong and Tang Tang are both sick. How will you manage on your own?"

Upon hearing the news, Jiang Zhehan made a beeline for the women's dressing room.

"It's fine!" she said, her expression serene and untroubled.

"Ms. Rann, perhaps we should cancel the performance. I can come up with an excuse for you."

Jiang Zhehan was ready to leave right after making the suggestion.

"There's no need," she replied, her voice steady and composed.

At that moment, aside from a few onlookers anticipating a spectacle, others were genuinely concerned for Su Rann. Yet, she alone seemed unfazed by the situation.

"Su Rann, you're up next. Don't embarrass our group," Mu Feifei said with a sneer, eager to see Su Rann falter.

Su Rann gave Mu Feifei a brief look and walked past her, her slender silhouette exuding confidence, not a trace of fear to be found.

Chi Xin's smirk grew as she watched Su Rann take the stage solo.

"I've checked the program. Wasn't this meant to be a trio performance? Why is there only one person?"

The crowd was buzzing with questions and the atmosphere was getting tense.

"This is typical of Group D, always reneging on their promises!"

"I've never had high hopes for them. They've always been in Group D for a reason!"

"I'm curious to see how she's going to pull off this performance all by herself."

...

The audience was abuzz with chatter, many there for the drama, curious to see how she would handle the performance alone.

Even the host on stage was visibly uncomfortable with the jeers and taunts, and she stepped back, leaving Su Rann alone in the spotlight.

The guqin and drawing board were set, ready for the performance.

"Brother, what in the world is happening?" Xiaxuan, seated among the audience, was finding it hard to watch.

It was clear to her that this was someone's idea of a cruel joke.

"Have faith in Su Rann," Lo Boyuan said, a faint smile playing on his lips as he watched Su Rann, poised and composed on stage.

Somehow, he had complete trust in whatever Su Rann was about to do.

Lu Jinhan sat beside Lo Boyuan, taking in every detail with a keen gaze.

His eyes, sharp as a hawk's, were fixed on the petite woman commanding the stage, a tumultuous feeling stirring within him.

She was supposed to be his, and yet others coveted her, a thought that irked him immensely!

As the stage lights dimmed and the music began, Su Rann took her seat with elegance. Her hands moved over the guqin strings with such grace that the music ebbed and flowed, melodious and enchanting, a true auditory delight.

The audience was spellbound in silence, utterly captivated.

"What's happening?" Chi Xin watched Su Rann's performance, incredulous.

Could this woman actually play the zither?

Yet, she couldn't possibly play the zither and paint simultaneously. Chi Xin was convinced that Su Rann would embarrass herself!

But Su Rann seemed to have the entire audience in the palm of her hand, their emotions swaying with her music.

She continued to stroke the zither with one hand while her other hand effortlessly splashed ink across the canvas.

The crowd was astounded!

It was unheard of, except for the legendary Flower Shadow from thirty years ago, who could play the zither and paint at the same time.

How could this young woman possess such talent?

As the final note resonated, a painting reached completion.

Su Rann's performance was nothing short of sensational, leaving the audience in awe.

The applause was thunderous.

"Brother, Rann is incredible. I've never seen a performance so thrilling. Her medical expertise is remarkable, and her artistic skill is so profound. She's truly like a deity!" Xiaxuan's admiration was heartfelt.

Lo Boyuan's face lit up with a smile as radiant as the moon, his admiration genuine.

Who would have thought Su Rann was such a gem?

"After it's over, come with me to meet her backstage," Lo Boyuan said, looking invigorated.

"Of course, brother!" Xiaxuan clapped enthusiastically.

This was the happiest she had seen her brother in years.

He had finally found someone who touched his heart, and she was just as fond of him.

Only Lu Jinhan sat with a long face, his eyes clouding over with darkness.

"Mr. Han, is this woman truly the lady of the house?" Nan Jun asked, unable to believe his eyes.

In his memory, Su Rann had been nothing more than a talentless individual scorned by all. How had she suddenly become so adept at playing the zither and painting simultaneously?

The music from the zither rose and fell, stirring the soul, while her painting was both grand and captivating, drawing everyone's gaze. Either talent alone would have been enough to garner widespread admiration.

When had Su Rann become so formidable?

"What else is Su Rann keeping from me?" Lu Jinhan's hands tightened into fists.

He couldn't find any flaws in Su Rann's facade!

"How is this possible? How could this happen?" Chi Xin exclaimed, her face a picture of disbelief.

She had given Su Rann an opportunity to shine, allowing more people in the company to become aware of her presence.

"Ms. Rann, how are you so incredible? Your performance was truly spectacular. I've never seen anything so thrilling, even in Vienna's concert halls!" Jiang Zhehan exclaimed as he approached Su Rann upon her return.

"Have Jiatong and Tang Tang returned?" She inquired, a hint of concern in her voice.

"They've been taken to the infirmary. It seems they drank too much and ended up with acute gastroenteritis," Jiang Zhehan replied, still buzzing from the excitement.

"Did they drink the orange juice from this cup?" She asked, her eyebrows arching. She was accustomed to the acclaim her performance had garnered.

"Ms. Rann, do you suspect someone deliberately caused their illness?" Jiang Zhehan's brow furrowed slightly.

Su Rann picked up their cups and sniffed. She poured out the last bit of orange juice and rubbed it between her fingers, her gaze sharpening.

"Ms. Rann, I'm going to check the surveillance footage right now to see who could be so cruel as to slip them laxatives!" Jiang Zhehan declared, his anger palpable as he stormed off.

Mu Feifei, upon seeing Young Master Jiang dash away, left the scene with a guilty conscience.

"Rann!" Xiaxuan called out as she wheeled Lo Boyuan backstage.

"Su Rann, your performance today was absolutely stunning!" Lo Boyuan offered, his smile subdued.

"Thank you," she responded coolly, a slight smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

Lu Jinhan arrived just in time to catch the subtle smile on Su Rann's lips, and a chill ran through his obsidian-like eyes.

Was this woman actually smiling at another man?

"Jinhan, you're here too. I must say, today I was treated to a veritable feast for the eyes and ears. Miss Su, you are truly exceptional," Lo Boyuan praised generously.

"Obviously!" Lu Jinhan gazed at the woman before him, utterly unfazed by his presence.

"After all, she belongs to me!"

Upon hearing these words, Lo Boyuan's brows furrowed deeply.
