"Of course, I'm with Director Lu's company," Su Rann stated coolly.

Upon hearing Su Rann's intentionally distant words, Lu Jinhan felt a surge of anger within him.

Lo Boyuan's previously furrowed brows slowly smoothed out.

"Mr. Jinhan, since when did you become such a joker?" Xiaxuan gave an awkward smile.

Lu Jinhan had never been so tenacious about anything, nor had he ever felt the need to explain himself. But today, he was compelled to let them know that Su Rann was his woman.

Before she could speak up, Jiang Zhehan came running over.

"Ms Rann, I found it!" he exclaimed, clearly annoyed by the sudden crowd around Su Rann.

"When did Young Master Lo and Director Lu become so idle that they'd show up backstage at the company?" Jiang Zhehan's presence was commanding.

"And who might you be? I'm here to see Rann. What business is it of yours?" Xiaxuan couldn't stand his arrogant demeanor.

The tension between them was palpable.

Su Rann stood up, unable to bear the pettiness of the situation any longer.

Jiang Zhehan watched as Su Rann stood and walked away, quickly following her.

"Ms Rann, it looks like someone tampered with this! Here's the surveillance footage, but it seems to have been hacked, and that part is blurred," he explained with a hint of disappointment.

Su Rann stopped in her tracks. She had intended to let those people off the hook, but their arrogance was too much. She realized they needed to be taught a lesson, or they'd continue to think she was a pushover.

"Is it a computer issue? Let me have a look; I might be able to fix it," offered Lo Boyuan, stepping forward.

"Rann, my brother is a whiz with computers. He could definitely take a crack at it," Xiaxuan chimed in, eager to help Su Rann in any way she could. Su Rann had become her idol after today's display.

"Alright, thank you," Su Rann replied, her gaze as icy as ever.

"Make sure I get a copy too!" Lu Jinhan interjected.

In Lan City, it was unprecedented for the young master of the Lo family and Lu Jinhan to join forces to assist someone. Su Rann was truly the first.

"Chi Xin again? She never learns her lesson," he said, his eyes blazing with fury.

"Mr. Jinhan, someone in your company is out to get Rann!" Xiaxuan exclaimed, rushing to Su Rann's side.

"Rann, why not come work at my brother's company? I guarantee you won't be mistreated there!"

Lo Boyuan's gaze lingered on Su Rann, echoing Xiaxuan's sentiment. He was eager for Su Rann to agree.

"There's no need. I'm quite content here. Thank you, Xiaxuan," Su Rann replied, her tone neutral.

Lu Jinhan found Su Rann's response today particularly agreeable.

"Given that this incident occurred within the company, I will not let it slide. You can leave the matters of Lu's Group to me," Lu Jinhan stated, his voice laced with an icy resolve.

Nan Jun thought Mr. Han seemed a bit haughty today.

"Young Master Jiang, I was merely checking on the status of the project as Manager Lin instructed me to," Chi Xin countered.

"Do you still deny it?" Chi Xin was a woman, and Jiang Zhehan might have resorted to violence if she were a man.

"If you have no evidence, Young Master Jiang, I would ask that you refrain from making baseless accusations," Jiang Zhehan found himself at a loss for words.

He had assumed that restoring the surveillance footage would reveal the proof he needed.

The camera had captured only Chi Xin entering the room, but due to a blind spot, it failed to record her actions once inside.

Su Rann approached Chi Xin with a subtle smile playing on her lips. "Always looking for trouble, aren't you?" Her gaze was icy, her voice sharp as the chill of early spring.

"Do you have any evidence? If not, I suggest you keep quiet!" Chi Xin haughtily declared, never once considering Su Rann a threat.

To her, Su Rann was nothing more than a woman who had ascended the ranks through men. Despite her seemingly noble exterior, Chi Xin deemed her utterly contemptible.

Hearing Su Rann's accusation, Chi Xin's guilt prompted her to try and withdraw her hand.

"You...!" Chi Xin was taken aback, never anticipating that this woman would unravel her entire plot with just one look.

"This woman is truly malicious. Doesn't she realize that consuming too much croton seed can lead to severe diarrhea, and could even be life-threatening?" Xiaxuan glared at Chi Xin with anger in her eyes.

"It wasn't me. How can you be so sure that the powder on my nails is croton seed powder? I simply got something dirty on them," Chi Xin retorted defensively, her guilt apparent.

"Oh, really? Then we'll just wait for the hospital's test results, shall we?" Su Rann declared, her presence commanding.
