C9 Going to the Company
In the early morning, Manyin observed Su Rann entering in an unbranded sports outfit, a sardonic smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
Today, this woman was heading to the company. Perhaps she should prepare a little surprise for her?
After breakfast, Manyin hopped into her red Bentley and sped away.
Su Rann slipped into a simple long dress. Even bare-faced, she radiated an otherworldly elegance, like a celestial being untouched by worldly concerns.
She checked the time and hailed a taxi.
Jiamin's disdain for Su Rann was already profound, and after the events of yesterday's banquet, she saw her as nothing but a nuisance.
"Remember, you're just a lowly employee at the company. Don't fool yourself into thinking Jinhan will come to your aid!"
Su Rann departed without a backward glance, clearly above engaging in petty disputes with them.
Upon arriving at the HR Department, Su Rann presented her resume. The HR manager perused it, noting its lack of content, then looked up at Su Rann's face with a scoff of contempt.
Clearly, this woman had no credentials to speak of; her presence at Lu's Group must be solely due to her looks. Who knows what unsavory acts she committed to get here?
Without the requisite degrees or experience, she was nothing more than a decorative piece. Typically, Lu's Group hires fresh graduates from top universities or those with over three years of work experience. Yet, this woman had neither.
"So, you're here for a position in the Sales Department?" Ann Ru asked with a sneer.
"Yes," Su Rann replied nonchalantly.
Ann Ru circulated her resume among the Group A Leaders.
"Take a look. Which team will she fit into?"
Upon reviewing her resume, the Group A Leader's expression soured.
"Manager Ann, such a candidate is not suitable for our team. Group A is comprised of sales elites; we don't just take anyone. She would only hold us back," she said with a look of scorn.
She was determined to maintain her team's top sales record and would not let Su Rann's addition jeopardize her efforts. She was resolute in her refusal.
The leader of Group B shook his head as well. The capabilities of their two groups were evenly matched.
Adding a woman with no experience to the mix would only make it more unlikely for them to outperform Group A this year.
She wasn't about to take on that kind of trouble.
Even after Group C passed, not a single group was willing to take in Su Rann.
Everyone assumed that this woman wouldn't be able to handle the pressure and would simply leave.
Each person who spoke did so with a disdainful attitude toward her.
Yet, Su Rann remained as she was when she entered: her face unflinching, her demeanor cool and detached.
Group D consistently had the poorest results, and since no one from the first three groups had expressed interest, Su Rann naturally became a member of Group D.
The leader of Group D, Hee Chen, was a portly fellow with a welcoming smile. He didn't seem to mind her lack of experience at all.
He didn't see being in the last-ranked group as a disgrace.
He always encouraged his team members to give it their all.
He believed that through their collective efforts, they could climb to new heights.
"Welcome to the team!"
The members of the other three groups breathed a sigh of relief when they saw the woman with no apparent skills join Group D.
They had finally shed the dead weight!
