Fighting amongst cultivators of the same level, especially when one's cultivation level was too high … unless the difference in power was great, was actually quite difficult to kill. It was easy to defeat them, but difficult to kill them.

Many cultivators had methods to protect themselves. The simplest and most direct method was to damage one's foundation
