C3 Chapter Three

She didn’t wait for them to follow her. She tossed her purse onto the kitchen counter and went to the fridge to pull out an open bottle of white wine.

Grabbing a plastic wineglass from the cupboard by the patio door, she continued onto the deck. After kicking off her shoes, she curled up on the L-shaped outdoor sofa and poured herself a glass of wine.

Luke and Eric were close behind her
