C5 Learn Magic!

I really wonder, if Yuxiao ever found out that his sister had long since passed away, and that the soul inhabiting her body was someone else entirely, would he still love her as much?

But this is a secret she will never share with Yuxiao, because from now on, she is Luoyao, Yuxiao's sister, Luoyao.

"Yao, it's so good to see you like this." With her head held high, exuding confidence, she was like a beacon that drew his gaze.

"Brother, seeing you like that earlier, I didn't feel so great." A flicker of displeasure and guilt crossed Luoyao's eyes. It was her fault that Yuxiao acted that way.

"As your brother, it's my job to protect you, right?" Yuxiao shrugged it off, patting Luoyao's shoulder. He took her hand and led her into the yard, clearly avoiding the topic.

Since Yuxiao didn't want to talk, Luoyao naturally stayed silent, letting him lead her into the yard.

"Yao, you're still recovering; you should rest more." Yuxiao ushered Luoyao into the room, as if staying outside too long would be detrimental.

Luoyao smiled helplessly, yet her heart felt warm.

"Brother, I'm really okay now." Luoyao walked back and forth in front of Yuxiao, then sat on a nearby chair, looking up at him.

"Brother, why is it just the two of us here? Where's the rest of the family?" Luoyao finally voiced the question that had been bothering her all day.

Ever since she could remember, it had just been her and Yuxiao living here. Apart from the people in the small town, they hadn't been anywhere else or met anyone related to them.

Where's Mom? Dad? And other relatives or friends? These people had never appeared in her memories.

A flicker of something crossed Yuxiao's face, but he held his tongue. Luoyao simply looked up at him, wondering if there was a reason he couldn't share. There must be, she thought, since they seemed so isolated here. If her brother didn't want to talk, she wouldn't press him.

"Brother, I want to learn magic. How do I start?" Luoyao changed the subject, focusing on what mattered most right now.

In this world, strength was everything. It was a place where the powerful reigned supreme. This fantastical realm was filled with something called natural elements, a wondrous force present everywhere in nature, unseen yet tangible.

People here possessed a mysterious power known as Psychic Force. With it, they could control these natural elements. Mastery and strength in wielding this power determined one's rank, a process known as cultivation.

Yuxiao, for instance, had the ability to control water elements. He was a water mage. Yang Qing, who had once killed Luoyao, wielded fire elements and was a fire mage.

Psychic Force was something everyone had, except for Luoyao. Her lack of it was unprecedented, turning her into a laughingstock, deemed worthless by all.

Many professions and abilities stemmed from Psychic Force, but without it, one couldn't do anything. It was as if she didn't belong in this world at all.
