C2 New found friend

The next day, Sara approached Fulsin during their lunch break. "Hey, Fulsin," she said with a smile. "I was wondering if you'd like to join me and some of my friends again at our study group after school. We could use another smart person like you." He became hesitant at first. He didn't want to risk drawing any more attention to himself by associating with someone like Sara. But after some convincing from Sara, he finally agreed.

After school, Fulsin met Sara and her friends in an empty classroom but this time not without little drama. They spent the next few hours discussing various topics, ranging from math and science to current events and literature. Fulsin was amazed by how much Sara knew about the world around them. She had a way of explaining things that made even the most complex concepts seem easy to understand.

As the study group continued, Fulsin began to feel more comfortable and fun around Sara but was still attracting some weird gaze from time to time from her friends. Some of them did judge him for being poor but he turned a blind eye to them, As the rest didn't seem to judge his lack of material possessions. They seemed to appreciate his intelligence and his sense of humor. It was a refreshing change from the way he was treated by his classmates.

As they were working on a particularly challenging math problem, Sara leaned in close to Fulsin and whispered, "I've been thinking... maybe we could help each other out." Fulsin raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "I'm not very good at technology or current events," Sara continued, "and you're really smart in those areas. So, maybe we could trade knowledge? I could help you with your schoolwork, and in exchange, you could help me learn about the things I'm interested in."

The proposal took Fulsin by surprise. He had never considered the idea of trading knowledge with someone before. It was a unique and intriguing offer, and he couldn't help but feel grateful to Sara for suggesting it. After a moment's hesitation, he nodded his agreement.

As they were whispering to themselves, a certain pair of eyes was throwing a hurtful dagger at them, suddenly, they heard the sound of the door being knocked open from outside. Some of the students jumped in fright from the sudden intrusion, and when they saw who it was they were even more frightened. Jason Pearl High School's biggest bully, being the son of MR. Peterson Fulsin's mathematics teacher is from one of the wealthiest families in Evergreen City. Jason is a textbook bully. He enjoys exerting power and control over others, particularly those whom he perceives as weaker or more vulnerable than himself. He's manipulative and cunning, always looking for ways to exploit situations to his advantage. Despite this, he can be charming when he wants to be, often using his charm to convince others that his actions are justified or that he's not as bad as they think. However, underneath this facade, he is cold and heartless, lacking empathy for the people he hurts. He is also extremely competitive and has a short temper, often lashing out when he doesn't get his way. Seeing Fulsin going around the school with Sara whom he has a little crush on made him jealous and angry. He walked into the classroom casting an intimidating All around him. When he arrived in front of Fulsin he gazed down with a disdainful gaze. "Who do we have here, charity case? Shouldn't you be begging with your miserable mother?" He barked with a burning gaze. Fulsin clenched his hands into a fist under the table, his face didn't change one bit. Seeing Fulsin's indifferent gaze made Jason angrier, he flipped Fulsin's book from the table to the floor. "Can you please stop, can't you see we are studying," Sara snapped. Ohh, now you have a shield, he chuckled. We will have this another time, he scoffed and left with his gang. The peace streamed back into the classroom like a cluster of sunlight. The students heave a sigh of relief.

The next day, Alex and Emily's relationship grew stronger. They spent every spare secret moment together in the library, sharing their knowledge and experiences. Emily helped him with his homework, and in return, Alex taught her how to use the library's online resources and introduced her to the latest news and trends in technology.

At the end of the school hours, Fulsin went home alone since Sara was staying for the evening studies so he decided to go today without. Fulsin strutted through the deserted Alley Street as it was the closest way to his house. When he reached the deepest part of the alley group of boys in uniform surrounded him. He lifted his gaze and saw Jason in the lead, seeing this he knew the exact reason they were there. "What do you think you are doing?" He groped while looking for a chance to run away since the odds were against him. Even without being outnumbered, he doesn't have the guts to fight Jason.

"What do you think? Welfare lad, Jason laughed. Don't worry I just want to redecorate your pretty face and see if you poor mother will recognize her useless son, he taunt Ed signaling one of his goons. With a big rod bar, he strode towards Fulsin a wicked smile painted on his scarred face.

Fulsin couldn't help but take a step back, his heart leaping out of his throat. Before he could take another step two hands pushed him forward making fall into the ground face first. He dump his head onto a big cutting his forehead, hiss! He took a deep breath from the pain. But before he could react another hit fall on his back then another until he entire body soaked red with blood. When they saw he wasn't moving, they thought he was dead and start to panicked.

Trembling! They turned to Jason, "what should we do now? They asked.

"Don't worry nothing will happen to us, we are just helping society lift off another burdened," he said while trembling.

"Let's go"

They left Fulsin laying there on the brink of death.
