C1 You Leave Is Good for Everyone!

Qin Anan stood about three feet away from the handsome man, her delicate makeup unable to hide the paleness of her face. Her long hair was disheveled from her hurried arrival. She thought she had many questions, but seeing his calm, indifferent expression, she could only manage a dry, “Why?”

Why him? How could it possibly be him?

Qin Anan wasn't sure if she was asking the man in front of her or herself. She couldn't believe that all the misunderstandings and being cast aside by her family were because of this man.

Without waiting for his response, she urgently asked, “Tell me why it was you. Why did you do this?” Her once fair face was now streaked with tears.

She couldn't believe that the person trying to send her away was the very one she had relied on since childhood, Mr. Yi. She couldn't believe it was him. How could it be him? Why him, of all people?

She had considered many possibilities, but never that the person who would hurt her the most would be the one she had once loved and trusted completely.

Thinking of this, Qin Anan felt as if a knife had carved a hollow in her heart, leaving her eyes stinging with unbearable pain.

Tang Yi looked at the woman before him, her face full of sorrow, yet his expression remained detached and cold as he said, “This is for your own good.”

Qin Anan looked at him in disbelief, finding it almost laughable, though tears continued to fall. Still, she couldn't help but retort, “For my own good, huh... Isn't it really because of Yan?”

Wasn't it just because Yan didn't like her? And now, the one who once promised to protect her had dealt her the harshest blow.

Hearing this, Tang Yi's brows furrowed slightly, his tone turning sharp, “You hurt Yan. This is your lesson.”

He could hardly believe it. The sweet, innocent little girl who used to follow him around had become so unfamiliar. Yet, the truth was undeniable.

Upon hearing this, Anan felt a sharp pain in her heart, as if pricked by needles. Her eyes stung with unshed tears, but she stubbornly asked, "Really... you trust her over me?"

He actually believed Soong Yan instead of her? Even though it was Soong Yan who had drugged her, somehow, it ended up being Anan's fault.

The thought was both bitter and ironic to Anan. Of course, he loved Soong Yan now, so naturally, he believed her. Anan was just in their way.

Now, he gave her two choices: leave the country immediately or stay in town and be cut off from everything she knew.

Tang Yi looked up, his gaze meeting Anan's red-rimmed eyes. He spoke coldly, "I only trust what I see."

He didn't want to believe Anan could become so malicious. But the events of recent times forced him to accept that she was no longer the little girl he remembered.

Yesterday's incident was still fresh in his mind. If he had arrived any later, he couldn't bear to imagine what might have happened.

Hearing this, Anan let out a bitter laugh. Her pale face showed a flash of hurt, but she defiantly asked, "So that's how you see me?"

Ignoring the sarcasm in her voice, Tang Yi sighed softly, "Anan, leaving would be best for all of us."
