C18 You Guys Don't Plan to Hold a Wedding Right?
Gu Li glanced down at her outfit and frowned slightly. "Let me change into my own clothes first," she said, heading quickly to the fitting room without waiting for Qin Anan's response.
Ten minutes later, Gu Li returned, having arranged for the dress to be delivered to her family's villa. She walked over to Qin Anan, took her right arm, and said cheerfully, "Alright, let's go."
Qin Anan looked up at her and nodded, "Okay."
As they admired the array of elegant dresses, Gu Li suddenly thought about Qin Anan's upcoming wedding and curiously asked, "Anan, how are you planning your wedding?"
Since Anan had already gotten her marriage license, the wedding day couldn't be far off. Gu Li wondered what their ceremony would be like and felt a growing sense of anticipation.
She suddenly had a strong desire to be a bridesmaid. How could she make that happen?
Qin Anan was taken aback by Gu Li's question, her expression momentarily frozen. She hadn't expected Gu Li to ask about this because she hadn't really thought about it herself.
Her marriage to Han Lv wasn't based on love, so she never considered having a grand wedding celebration like most people do after getting their license, surrounded by family and friends.
The lack of expectation left her surprised.
Sensing Qin Anan's hesitation, Gu Li asked in surprise, "You're not planning to have a wedding, are you?"
Marriage is a once-in-a-lifetime event; how could they not have a wedding? Gu Li was eager to be Anan's bridesmaid and accompany her best friend down the aisle.
The thought of Qin Anan not having a wedding left Gu Li feeling inexplicably disappointed and upset.
Seeing Gu Li's slightly disappointed expression, Qin Anan quickly said, "No, it's just that our families need to discuss when would be the best time to hold it."
Deciding whether or not to have a wedding isn't solely up to her, so she can't answer Gu Li's question right now. However, she doesn't want Gu Li to worry, so after some thought, she decides to pass the decision to Han Lv. If Han Lv decides to have the wedding, she'll do her best to cooperate. If not, she doesn't have strong feelings about it, since their marriage isn't based on love. Still, if they don't have a wedding, Qin Anan would feel a bit of regret. After all, walking down the aisle in a beautiful wedding dress is something almost every woman dreams of.
By the time she returned to Parasol Villa after buying the dress, it was already past nine. After hours of shopping, Qin Anan collapsed onto her bed, feeling inexplicably tired and melancholic. The day's events felt surreal, like a dream. If it weren't for the marriage certificate in her purse, she'd think getting the certificate today was just an illusion. From today, she's officially a married woman.
The thought of moving her things to Han Lv's place tomorrow made her inexplicably nervous. This was no joke; it was real. With a sigh, Qin Anan silently encouraged herself. Since it was her choice, she was determined to see it through. She quickly got up, tidied her clothes and hair in front of the mirror, took a deep breath, and then headed towards the study.
