C19 I'll Move out Tomorrow!
At the study door, Anan knocked softly twice before pushing it open and walking in.
Seeing the middle-aged man seated behind the desk, Anan quickly gathered her thoughts and said directly, "Dad, I'm moving out tomorrow."
Honglin paused, pen in hand, surprised by her announcement. "Why are you moving out?"
He had already decided that after Soong Yan and Tang Yi's engagement ceremony, he would send Anan abroad. So, hearing her say she wanted to move out seemed like just an excuse to avoid going overseas.
Observing Honglin's expression, Anan felt a deep sense of irony. "Isn't it just because someone finds me annoying and wants me out of the way?"
Ha, this was her father—he didn't believe in his own daughter at all. What had she done to deserve such a lack of trust?
Hearing the sarcasm in Anan's voice, Honglin furrowed his brow, then pressed his fingers to his temple before speaking earnestly, "Anan, I know you and Tang Yi grew up together, but he's chosen Soong Yan. That means it's not possible between you two. Going abroad is actually best for everyone."
He had thought long and hard about sending Anan abroad, believing it was the best outcome for everyone involved. Especially for his daughter, he didn't want her living in the shadows of Soong Yan and Tang Yi forever.
He hoped Anan could move on quickly. Time is the best healer, and only by leaving could she truly forget everything here and start anew. Even though he was disappointed when he saw Anan push Soong Yan into the river, she was still his daughter, and he couldn't just abandon her.
Anan's anger flared at his words, a cold smile appearing on her delicate face. "Best for everyone? You mean best for Soong Yan and them, right?"
She knew that in Qin Honglin's heart, Soong Yan was his daughter. Every time he had to choose between her and Soong Yan, he would choose Soong Yan and sacrifice her. Even though she couldn't count how many times this had happened, Qin Anan still felt deeply disappointed and hurt. Why, why did he only have eyes for Soong Yan and never thought about her?
After speaking, without waiting for Qin Honglin to respond, Qin Anan opened her eyes and looked directly at her father, a bit angry, and said, "If you really care about me, then don't tell me to leave town. This is my home, and if anyone should leave, it should be Soong Yan and her mother."
This city was where she had lived her whole life; why should she be the one to leave? If anyone should go, it should be Soong Yan and her mom. If it weren't for them, her own mother wouldn't have passed away from depression.
Seeing his daughter so upset, Qin Honglin just felt a headache coming on. Every time they talked, it turned into a confrontation within ten minutes. With a slight sigh, he looked up at Qin Anan's slightly reddened eyes, then lowered his gaze and finally conceded, "Alright, do whatever you want. I won't push you anymore..."
Fine, let her do as she pleases. He wouldn't interfere, nor did he want to.
Hearing this, Qin Anan nodded slightly, "Okay, then I'll move out tomorrow."
