C7 I Don't Regret It!
The fall of the Qin family would do her no good, as she was set to inherit it. She wouldn't let it collapse.
Qin Honglin's face darkened further at her words, his gaze filled with disappointment. After a long pause, he coldly said, "Fine, fine... Even now, you refuse to repent. I'm telling you, the day after tomorrow, you're leaving whether you want to or not."
With that, he turned and headed upstairs, not waiting for Qin Anan to respond. If she resisted, he'd make sure she was on that plane.
Qin Anan watched his retreating figure, her eyes growing colder.
The next morning was clear and crisp, typical of mid-October in Lancheng, with the pleasant and refreshing autumn air. After breakfast, feeling bored, Qin Anan grabbed a book from the study and settled into a rocking chair on the balcony. The golden sunlight cast a dreamy glow on her, blending perfectly with the rustic balcony furniture, creating a serene and beautiful picture.
Though her eyes were on the book, her mind was elsewhere. She kept thinking about Han Lv's promise to give her news today. The thought filled her with a mix of anticipation, anxiety, and nervousness.
As she was lost in thought, a pleasant ringtone broke the serene scene. Snapping back to reality, Qin Anan picked up her phone from the small table in front of her. She hesitated for a moment at the unfamiliar number before answering.
Even five minutes after the call ended, she was still in a daze, unable to fully process it. The call had been from Han Lv, and she had somewhat expected it. But the thought of going to get the marriage certificate together left her mind blank and her heart inexplicably tense.
Later, Han Lv would pick her up to go to the courthouse together. Thinking about this, Anan glanced at the time on her phone. It was almost ten, so she headed to her room. Since she had made her choice, there was no room for regret. She had been through worse, so this wasn’t something to fear. With that thought, Anan took a deep breath, calming her previously anxious heart.
Before she knew it, Anan was back in her room, starting to pick out her clothes. After all, today was the day she was getting her marriage certificate. Even if it wasn’t for love, it was still a significant day for her, and she felt she should look her best.
An hour later, Anan sat quietly in the passenger seat of Han Lv's Maybach. She watched the scenery fly by outside the window, her delicate face calm, though her tightly clasped hands betrayed her emotions. Han Lv glanced at her, his deep, pleasant voice breaking the silence, “You can still get out now if you want.”
Hearing this, Anan turned her gaze from the window to the man beside her. His flawless profile made her pause for a moment. She blinked and then spoke firmly, “No... I don’t regret it.” Having decided to get in the car, she had no intention of getting out halfway. She didn’t regret it and wouldn’t allow herself to.
