C9 You Actually Went to Get a Marriage Certificate with Han Lv!
Half an hour later, Qin Anan arrived at Han Lv's private residence. As she looked at the villa, which was simple yet luxurious, she felt an inexplicable nervousness. Although she knew that marrying Han Lv meant having children and living together, standing at his doorstep made her anxious.
Would this be where they would live together?
With that thought, her initial unease gradually gave way to calm. Han Lv glanced at the woman beside him, aware of their new marital status, and suggested, "Take a seat and relax. If you don't like the decor, you can have it redesigned to your taste."
Qin Anan followed Han Lv to the living room and sat on the sofa, casually observing the surroundings. She smiled and said, "It's nice, actually. I quite like it."
"Coffee or juice?" he asked.
"Juice, please. Thank you."
After a brief rest, Qin Anan followed Han Lv on a tour of the villa, which would be their home. The word "home" made her heart skip a beat. She had never imagined marrying a stranger, yet here she was, making a decision she had never considered before. She glanced at the man beside her—tall, with striking features and a refined demeanor. He seemed approachable yet distant. Was this her husband now?
A marriage of mutual respect without emotional entanglements seemed appealing. Besides, her husband was undeniably handsome. With that thought, Qin Anan resolved to be a good wife, as long as Han Lv didn't cross any lines. Living with him might not be so difficult after all.
By the time she left Han Lv's residence, it was already four in the afternoon. Reflecting on their conversation, Qin Anan felt a sense of relief.
She initially thought Han Lv would be difficult to get along with, but after spending a few hours together, she found him to be quite the gentleman.
Leaving Han Lv's place, Qin Anan headed straight to the Riverside Restaurant to meet up with Gu Li.
Gu Li was curious about how Qin Anan’s date with Han Lv went, but she never expected to hear such shocking news. “Wait... Anan, what did you just say? You and Han Lv got married?”
The thought of Qin Anan saying they got their marriage license made Gu Li feel like she must have misheard. How could it happen so fast? A date yesterday and a marriage license today? She could hardly believe it.
Seeing the disbelief on Gu Li’s face, Qin Anan couldn’t help but be amused and teased, “Do you want to see the marriage certificate?”
Her expression, as if she would pull out the certificate if Gu Li didn’t believe her, made Gu Li realize this was no joke. Her best friend had gotten married today.
The thought left Gu Li utterly surprised. She remembered a phrase she once read online that perfectly captured her feelings at that moment: they had promised to stay single together, yet here was Qin Anan, secretly getting hitched.
Gu Li hoped her friend would have a happy marriage, but the speed of it all left her a bit worried. Her eyes fixed on the woman across from her, she asked, “Anan, why did you get married so quickly?”
