Plot is Hodge-podge

For a very shortly novel, Author seems to be pulling story arcs out from nowhere. A couple of new characters are force crammed in the middle. One was abruptly introduced and spent just about 3-5 paragraphs in the whole story. And that’s it. No resolution of conflict. Seems a shame.
