C11 Reversal Mexican Fade

Mayara knew who each one of them was and the reasons why there were still situations that she needed to be cautious about. from what Iara explained and she tried to understand later, they were after a series of clues about some disappearances of famous and important people, and that an international mafia network was connected to this. and the clues led to past secrets and Mayara was linked in some way to this list, in an unknown way. the girl was apprehensive about this, not wanting to get involved in confusion, but when they mentioned the name of Arthur's mysterious mother, she stopped and froze. was it really real? then she asked for more details and what she should know.

Iara closed her eyes apprehensively. many gaps in Mayara's life could have been filled in years ago if it hadn't been for her stupidity in sticking to her promise to Cassandra about never letting the twins find out everything and ruining the perfect family Cassandra imagined she had created. For Iara, Mayara was the mirror image of her former best friend, and she regretted not having done things differently, but it was time to put things right.

there were things that should be clarified soon.

" Mayara, in short, do you want to be a criminal investigator?"

" that's right. you want help, don't you? in two weeks I'll be eighteen and I'm moving out of school, but I don't have a job. how can I help investigate such an important case without knowing if I can get a degree? I haven't even been admitted to law school, kids?"

Samuel thought about it and came up with an idea. the organization that was investigating this should hire Mayara as an administrative apprentice and send her to where the kidnappers' next move would be. the four of them were already known in the potential country and sending someone in as an infiltrator wouldn't make them suspicious of anything. it was a simple and discreet alternative instead of having pointless discussions that would lead nowhere. so they opted for the idea offered by Samuel.

The next few days went smoothly, without too many headaches for anyone. Mayara continued to complete her tasks as normal while noticing strange attitudes in her deputy director, who seemed overly suspicious on payday and ordered her to stay in isolation while she attended to a mysterious person.

Mayara learned to have more confidence in herself. Before her birthday, she was given a mission by her new friends. If she deserved to visit their world, she had to solve a very strange case. They never showed their faces, but she liked their voices. The case was about Arthur's family. She almost burst with joy, but reason told her to forget it...Iara noticed the choker shining under her boots.

"guys, we found the right girl."

"Congratulations, Iara, you're a good detective."

"we're all detectives, and now someone here is going to solve Arthur's case, aren't they?"

"everything I want most... Iara, what do I have to do?"

"You'll know, the mystery has to do with his mother and uncle."

"oh,yes.to this day I've never understood.I've always wanted to know the truth.what happened?where are they?and where is Arthur?"

" from then on you start your career as a detective, love.from time to time we'll see how you're getting on.but I warn you: there will be many surprises along the way.here. this amount should be enough to get you started.your work begins in Barcelona.collect the data, go to Mexico, but specifically Cancun.there, there will be support from us.you must do everything you can.be careful! there will be people who can get in the way.but this mission should only be accomplished when you're really eighteen."

"Because you'll be stronger at that age," said Iara. "Boys, you can go. I need to talk to her about some girly things." Percival looked doubtful. "And what are you going to do?" he thought, but he didn't want to go.

Iara looked at the smiling girl. She didn't look too bad. 18 years old, a bit thin, but pretty. The boys couldn't help but laugh at this funny situation.

"I... have a little present for you, my love..." she sighs, smiles and carefully removes the precious choker from her boot "this is good luck, it can help you like it helped me."

"Really? How cool!!! What's this, Iara? - Mayara smiles at the beauty of the jewel. --It's beautiful. I'd like to have one of these.

-and it's yours. Let me put it on...- She puts the beautiful choker around the girl's neck and says a little prayer.

Mayara closes her eyes in ecstasy. Iara's smile closes as she hands over a series of cards.

" don't read it until you get to Barcelona!!! forgive me for everything, my love. i hope everything turns out okay."

" I don't understand, but don't worry, okay? I love you."

" I love you too, my love. Don't worry about a thing. You'll know everything in time, won't you? I hope you always move on."

She nodded, confused but always very happy. Everyone who was connected to the girl would know everything, the whole truth would soon be told. Everything would be fine, Iara nodded.

after a long day of talking, Mayara was tired and slept in the room of Cínthia Salazar, the principal of the school and the orphanage, who knew nothing about it.

Mayara was sleeping peacefully on one of the sofas. Iara and Cínthia were cousins and argued about everything.

" does this mean that one of the students is the epicenter of this new wave of disappearances from the NonGrate Hand? how long will this last?"

"I don't know, Salazar. it's been going on. they say it has to do with a global vendetta."

"global revenge? the king had never reported his wife missing like this... they say she ran away."

"We know it wasn't like that. There's just no proof. They hide very well in the shadows, lurking around fate. I wonder about their intentions."

" and getting this girl involved could cost her her life."

" it's about time she knew who her parents are and who she is. life has already been unfair to her without needing to be. and I... need to make amends for many sins."

"and she's one of them? we raised her together, Iara."

" yes.but no one would ever approve of our relationship if we adopted you, darling.i miss you."

" me too. but... I don't think we can..."

"please don't even start, we're over it. but our common focus is to keep Mayara well."

" Okay, let's not fight, honey. "

" right..."

" but what are you going to prepare?"

" I don't know yet, but I do know that it will all be very easy."

" what did you do with her?"

"did... The best. I made her strong. I'd better put her to rest. She needs"

a Russian reversal. it could soon happen if they didn't take a wise attitude towards Mayara's future.time was running out and the circle began to close in.

another alert on Iara's cell phone.

she looks at Cinthia and then says goodbye.

" take care of everything."

the principal nods. Mayara remains sleeping carefree, unaware of what the future will soon bring.

A few hours passed, and the principal was insomniac and worried.

Iara returns with a compromising dossier in her hands containing confidential and sensitive information.

" I've been investigating your vice-principal, dear. she seems to hate her job, doesn't she?"

" what do you mean?"

" mistreatment. lack of courtesy towards their students.read"

Iara holds out the dossier and Cynthia flips through it in despair, unable to believe her eyes.

Cynthia didn't know what else to think. No, her hands were tied. Mayara was sleeping peacefully on the sofa. Iara was waiting for her to wake up. The young principal couldn't believe it. All these months and years, her orphan, the one she loved the most, had been living as a maid, so she had never been seen on her floor again, and lived without support.

"I seem to have closed my eyes again. That dirty old woman did what she did behind my back... betrayed me... betrayed me..."

"Yes, you need to rest, Cynthia... Mayara will be fine... you need to get her out of here... she's been informed and hired by our investigation team... she's become one of us."

"she doesn't know anything... When she wakes up, she won't be the same, she's changed... everything for her then."

" yes."

"I hope this never gets out... she'll be great..."

Mayara began to wake up slowly, still groggy, trying to understand where she was and feeling different.

" Cynthia?where am I?what happened?"

"There's a lot to explain, Mayara Angelina, but we're going to talk about your mission now."

"You're welcome... I'll do everything in my power! I just wanted one little thing..."

"Yes," said Cynthia, "a good luck hug..."

"I also wanted to know more about my own history, to know who I really am, about my parents and perhaps why they left me at St. Helena. I have so many questions about myself, my past, and why I have this connection with Arthur. It's as if I know the true nature of everything and at the same time I don't know anything... it's all so confusing for me. "

"Yes", Iara thought, "it's a shame that Cassandra should abandon such a sweet and formidable girl because of that.

because of that."

the truth would be told in no time...

time took its course over the next few months.

Four months later...

"We'll see you someday," she said.

Mayara hid the bag of black money in her skirt.she decided it was time to hit the road.lately,Cintia had been ill,and the old vice, who was on the verge of death, was playing master tricks there.she already wanted to offer the girl to the mysterious gentlemen who frequented the secret passages there.it was night,Mayara didn't want to be seen.she took the few things she had,put them in her lilac bag, some provisions for water and food, her boots camouflaged her footprints. She slung the bag over her shoulder, climbed the lowest trees and silently leapt from one to the next. The dogs barked and the watchmen sighed. How long had she not waited? she ran down the secret passage that led to the rubbish dumps. she hid for an hour. Cynthia was asleep, too tired and too ill to notice the absence of the girl she no longer cared about. Mayara was determined not to go to South Africa, so she continued walking in the darkness of the night.

there was a strange demand in all of this. as she passed an alleyway, she noticed a pretty brown envelope, with an "S" signed in an unusual way and her name written on the letter. she knew something was wrong, and decided to check it out. could it be a prank? her sense of curiosity debated with her rationale about not checking correspondence that was none of her business at that moment? how would she know if it was really for her? she couldn't resist taking the letter with her. she had actually run away from school to meet Iara and her new team in the dead of night. she thought it wouldn't take days to solve the case, but it was much more immense. as she arrived at the meeting place, she felt like she was being watched all the time. and that scared her too much.

it was probably just an impression, she thought to herself, unable to contain her fear. then Iara appeared and asked her to sit down. the new job was something serious, and Mayara would be on her own when she arrived in Barcelona.

She was distracted while Iara finished preparing things for her, adding money to her university account while Mayara rolled her eyes. they took a truck route, and she decided to read the letter she had found. it made her pale. how was it possible? who, was that S and how did "he" know? she read the frightening content and decided not to interrupt Iara. instead, she frowned and went on her way quietly, trying to reason. one more puzzle in her existence.

that letter was a bombshell for her. it contained supposed statements about her parents and geographical coordinates and riddles, proposing a "challenge"
