C6 The Begin of Problems

William was sitting at his laptop analyzing everything that had happened since then. He closed his eyes and was flooded by various events.

A quick flashback to the first days of our vacation in Cancún. Not easy for our three youngsters.

Diego and William were estranged the next day. They both agreed that Sabrina was a beautiful girl. But they wanted to win her over. In the days following the party, the three of them kept bumping into each other, and soon Diego fell in love for the first time. William surrounded his new friend and fell in love too. Richard began to notice the difference - his son was happier and more involved in the business. He planned to ask Sabrina to marry him and make her love him and become his mistress, and perhaps his wife.

But Diego wasn't going to give in so easily. The three of them exchanged contacts and on their return from the trip, Sabrina convinced her parents to let her study in Mexico where it would be safer for her.

2 MONTHS LATER...

Sabrina and her royal tutors stayed in a rich old mansion in Villa Ricca, paying to be comfortable and studying together with Diego and William at the Lucas Riviera university, very famous for its good education and high level of refinement, Sabrina began a romantic relationship with Diego.

The building where they were going to study was a traditional and at the same time modern school/college, with lots of facilities: rooms, with four annexes and several corridors and secret passages like almost all the old houses and buildings in the area always have. All in all, Lucas Riviera is more like a miniature fairytale castle in the horror/gothic style mixed with Latin American baroque. It was also the school of Prince Rafael, heir to a country called Mauritania, which is no longer a republic but a parliamentary monarchy. A rich and arrogant bunch, who were quick to make a mess in class.

Rafael and his fiancée Micaela are good at everything and will keep the other three company, since he is Guilherme's very close ally against other jealous rival factions. They're all finishing their third year of high school, all studying at the same college, in the same course complex and hanging out together at break time, making fun of everyone.

Diego will get closer and closer to Sabrina. William wouldn't let him. And he wasn't happy about it, so he began to plan a low blow, knowing that the girl had feelings for his friend-rival, he thought.

There were many things to think about and resolve. They were both going to sabotage each other. On one of the first days, Diego started bragging about his assets at home and at work:

"Wow, Diego! You mean you have cars?"

"That night, at the spring party, I'm going to surprise you."

"To me?" Sabrina was astonished by Diego's closeness and tenacity.

"Yes, for you. A nice surprise... " he was really up for anything regarding their relationship.

They hugged each other. The mysterious group watched from afar. William felt jealousy eating away at him. He had decided to kiss her in front of his friend at the same party. Sabrina said goodbye, saying that she would make a princess's day for her...

Sabrina chose a long matte white silk chemise and let her curly hair down. Everyone was meeting for the social event of the week.

William looked at it furiously when he saw Diego's smile. He needed to get him out of the way quickly and subtly. But how?

He opened his eyes and took a deep breath. An email from the university had appeared inviting her to a dance. The perfect chance. All he needed to do was ruin his strong friendship with Diego.

After a few hours, he lay back in his comfortable gaming chair and thought. What could he do?

Diego called Sabrina and started giving her outings and gifts and discussing subjects considered metaphysical and philosophical between them. Their coexistence was supposedly peaceful. And people began to speculate whether they were a couple.

Nothing was easy. William was very much in love and crazy. It was very difficult... Richard was the one who approved. He saw his son quietly analyzing a proposal for a client. It was time for father and son to have good conversations with each other. Guilherme concentrated on drawing up a good proposal for the client, understanding his role as the company's future CEO. Richard came in and discreetly sat down in the common chair next to his son.

Sniffling, he begins:

" Good afternoon son, how are you? How's home office work?"

" Oh! Your blessing, Dad! How are you? I'm fine, I could be better..."

" Better? "

" Dad... I'm secretly in love with my best friend. And it's eating me up."

Richard stopped to think. And blinked in disbelief.

" In love? Right... and what's eating you up so much, my son?"

" My best friend is in love with her, but there are so many details. And I'm in a war. There are so many women in the world, Dad."

But that one hit the nail on the head...

" I see, my beloved son. And that's interesting... it's very important to keep your wits about you in this case..."

Richard asked William for explanations and took out a notebook. As William opened up about how he felt, Richard hatched an evil plan to get Diego out of his son's way; doing so could damage the harmonious relationship with the Takahashi family. Richard had long yearned for something against the Takahashi´s, even if it was childish...

The plan outlined had a few small steps, but could lead to serious consequences...

First of all, William should be a good friend to both of them and find out as much information as possible. Secondly, he had to be very kind, be the perfect man in the girl's eyes, without losing his composure. Richard was always great at getting rid of adversaries.

The overview of the situation was not easy. The final part of the plan was to propose to her at the spring party before Diego. Sabrina was to be chosen, and William would be her date.

It was a quick, discreet, simple and error-free plan, or at least in theory.
