But the event was practically a gala ball, so she chose a midnight-blue dress, reminding her of William's sweet blue eyes. She picked out a long blue one, she would be dressed to kill and the fabric was fine and expensive, made from pure silk to order for her with everything. She spent the day as she was, in other words, a princess, but on the bright side... the party was scheduled for nine o'clock in the evening, and all the guests arrived and settled into the hall. Sabrina's parents, Amara and Thiago, were there, even though she hadn't actually been to university yet.

Everything was perfect. The boys had arrived earlier, and were positioned everywhere chatting and having fun, and the hall was full of all colors and shades, but Sabrina was sure to stand out, as there was no other blue dress with that quality of fabric.

They hug each other. The mysterious group (William and Diego's friends in law, the university gossips...) watched from afar. William felt jealousy eating away at him. He decided to kiss her in front of his friend at the same party. Sabrina defended herself, saying that she would buy a pink Ferrari and it would be a princess day for her...

At that moment, various feelings run through Diego's mind, and he looks at Sabrina in a mysterious way. He pulls her into the gardens and begins to talk in a more simplistic way about his feelings for her. He had brought a simple diamond ring to mark a proposal. Everything would be perfect, just as he had envisioned it in his mind.

"Sabrina..."

" Hi, Diego?"

" I need to say a few things " he takes a deep breath to do so. "It hasn't been easy all these months keeping it inside my heart, but I need to say it. I'm in love with you. I love you."

Sabrina is taken by shock, and in surprise can't say anything to him. He takes it as a bad sign. He lets anger change his features.

He releases her abruptly. It shocked her. She was frightened. When she went to try to talk to him, he said

She leaves scared and goes to her parents. William sees the scene and from the look on Diego's face, he sees it as a good opportunity.

Diego goes back and takes one last look at Sabrina. He asks his parents to take him home.William approaches, shocked.

"Diego. He declared his feelings and didn't like that I didn't say I loved him back. And now I'm afraid that I've hurt his feelings."

"Don't be like that. It was all a misunderstanding. While he cools off, let's get back to the party. They're going to announce the winners of the party."

" Of course, thank you."

They went inside and went dancing. Richard signaled to him what to do.

Diego went home upset and drank some more, trying to clear his head. Soon there would be signs of his broken feelings. His parents asked what had happened, but got no answers. He changed his clothes and thought about it. Perhaps he had been too hasty. He waited another couple of hours while he debated with himself.

As he watched the time, he concluded that he had been too hasty about how he had opened up and spoken to her. Very rude. So he decided to go back to the feta and apologize to her.

Sabrina and William chatted and exchanged kisses as they danced the night away. The party crowned them king and queen of spring, and she was already less apprehensive and forgetting about Diego. It wasn't going to be easy!

Diego started up his red motorcycle and headed down the road back to the party, he couldn't imagine what he would find...

William approached her and proposed, getting down on one knee just as Diego got off his motorcycle, dressed as a biker, and saw the scene that would break his heart for the next twenty years.
