I got out of the cab at the side of the street. Lily's house was just ten steps away. I paid the driver and walked down to her house.

I should leave.

My entire being wasn't against it. I wasn't supposed to be here.

Maybe Lily had changed her mind. But...she had never gone that far before. I wanted to talk to her. If someone Was threatening her, I could help her out
