C2 What Is Chelsey Up To?

She took a deep breath, "Hi, I'm Stacey Joanelle McGrath." She mumbled.

"Who cares?" Kayla yelled the class burst out laughing.

"You are welcome Stacey, take the seat beside Mason." The teacher mumbled pointing at a guy, her eyes widened in surprise, he was the same dude she had bumped into. They locked eyes and he winked at her, she looked away walking to her seat. She sat down keeping my backpack.

"So let's continue," The teacher was saying but the bell rang so the teacher had to leave the class, the students looked happy when he walked out.

She bent her head on the desk because the class was becoming too noisy and lots of stares from all angles were directed at her.

"Hey kiddo, aren't you like supposed to be in middle school?" She heard Mason ask.

Stacey raised her head and met Mason staring at her.

She didn't say anything to him, A woman walked into the class just when he was about to say something.

"Good morning class, how are you all doing?" She asked.

Some didn't even answer, they just continued with whatever they were doing, that's so disrespectful bit who was she kidding? That's high school for you, the teacher taught them and when her time was up, she left. They had geometry before it was break time.

After the bell for break rang the students went to the cafeteria, Mason left with another dude who seemed to be his friend. She just stayed in the class, she didn't feel like going to the cafeteria. A girl walked up to her.

"Hi, Stacey." She smiled.

"Hello," Stacey replied returning the smile.

"I'm Adriel Davidson, I like you can we be friends?" She asked.

She was nice, finally, she's beautiful, she has brown long hair and a cheerful personality.

"I'll be delighted to have you as my friend," Stacey mumbled.

"Thank you, won't you go be going to the cafeteria?" She asked.

"Well, I'll love to but I don't like overcrowded places," Stacey replied.

"We can sit far from the others if you want." She suggested.

"Ok, let go." Stacey agreed.

Getting to the cafeteria, we sat at a table far from the others, "I'll go order something for us, what will you like to have?" She asked.

"French fries and strawberry milkshake will be fine," Stacey replied.

"I'll be right back." She told Stacey before sauntering away.

A few minutes later she came back with the orders.

"What did you get for yourself Adriel?" Stacey asked.

"I got the same thing for both of us." She replied.

"How much did you get it?" Stacey asked handing her some money.

"No, you don't have to pay me back." She mumbled refusing to accept the money.

"No just take it, it won't be nice if you pay for my food on the first day we meet," Stacey argued.

"We are friends right?" She asked and Stacey nodded.

"Then you shouldn't insist on paying me." She smiled.

"Adriel, who are you staring at?" Stacey asked when she noticed her attention was somewhere else but she said nothing.

Stacey traced her eyes to the direction she was looking at, she was staring at Mason and a guy, she recognised him to be the same person Mason had left the class with. When Stacey and Mason locked eyes, he whispered something to the guy next to him and they began to walk towards their table.

"Stacey, how do I look?" She asked.

What's going on? Why is she acting this way? Stacey thought.

"You look beautiful." Stacey smiled at her.

Mason stopped when he got to their table he drew out a chair and sat down, the guy with him did the same.

"Hi girls." The other guy smiled.

"Hello," Adriel replied beaming.

"Mason, I'll go grab us some lunch." The guy mumbled.

"I can share mine with you." Adriel offered.

"Thank you." He smiled at Adriel.

"That so nice of you Adriel," Mason uttered glancing at me. "I'll be sharing kiddo's lunch then." He smirked.

"Who is kiddo?" Adriel and the other guy asked.

"Oh, you don't know? She is!" He chuckled pointing at Stacey.

Adriel and Finn smiled shaking their heads.

The students stared at their table and were whispering to each other.

Mason picked a French fry from my plate, putting it in his mouth. "Wow, it's so yummy." He smiled taking all of her French fries.

"Give it back Mason," Stacey mumbled trying to take it back from him.

"Oh! You can talk." His eyes widened in surprise. "I thought you were dumb or something, here take it if you can." He smiled standing up.

Stacey realised what he was trying to do, he knew he was way taller and he was trying to use that against her. She wasn't going to give him a chance.

"You can have it," Stacey mumbled rolling my eyes.

By now, everyone turned to them watching the drama Mason was creating, Stacey's eyes met Kayla's and Chelsey's, they glared at her. Stacey wondered what she had done to upset them this time. Chelsey whispered something to Kayla and she nodded. Then they stood up with their meal and walked to Stacey's table.

"Hi, sister." Chelsey faked a smile.

"Hey Mason, Finn." He smiled sitting down.

"Oh! Hi Adriel, we didn't notice your presence." They laughed.

"How can you? When your eyes are for fancy." Adriel smiled, they burst out laughing.

They rolled their eyes, what Chelsey said next shocked Stacey, "Sister, why aren't you eating? You can share my lunch if you want." She offered with a smile on her face.

Why was she being so nice? She was never nice to Stacey. Chelsey never called Stacey sister and she did call her sister twice, it only meant she was up to something but what could she be up to? Stacey thought. She hoped that Chelsey wasn't up to some mischief, it was their first day in this school.
