I quickly hid the molly I was able to take from Damian under my pillow when I heard a knock on my door.

“come in” mom came in quietly, she had that smile on her face that didn’t quite reach her eyes.

“is something wrong?” I asked as she came over to squeeze me in a hug.

“I came to see my baby girl, why would anything be wrong?” she asked and I shrugged. Something seemed off though
