C202

Carrying over ten fresh fish, the man turned around and walked back towards the bonfire. The strange monkey was dancing and gesticulating, as if it was looking at its most beloved item.

"This should be enough for him to eat, right?"

He had already taken three branches, but only four were left for the two of them. The rest were all stuck onto one branch, a clear sign that they were prepared for that strange monkey.

The fire was filled with the smell of fish.

The strange monkey looked rather obedient at this moment. It quietly squatted to the side and stared at the few fresh fish on the branch. Its long tail was slightly raised behind it as it gently waved it.

"Young Master, have you ever gotten a wound on your abdomen?"

After hesitating for a long time, the woman finally asked.

"Perhaps it is. Those clothes have already been torn to pieces."

The man nodded. However, he didn't seem to mind and continued to concentrate on the roasted fish in front of him.

"Squeak squeak squeak squeak!"

The two of them turned their heads around and grinned. Their monkey claws were swiping at the man's abdomen, and they patted his chest with pride. The actions were so captivating that it made the two of them chuckle.

"Young Master, this monkey seems to be saying that all of your injuries were caused by it."

Laughing softly while covering her mouth, the girl took a glance at the man's currently fair abdomen. It was as if he had been reborn, tender and rosy.

"Squeak squeak squeak squeak!"

With the little monkey's head slightly bigger, it hopped onto the man's shoulder and laughed non-stop as if it was taking credit for something.

Ignoring the little monkey on his shoulder, the man let out a soft laugh as he rotated the branch in his hand and looked at the yellow fish.

"You can eat now. Be careful, don't burn it."

After handing over a bunch of grilled fish and a woman, the man lightly instructed.

"En," the woman replied as she reached out to take the bowl. Suddenly, she touched the big hand and blushed. She quickly turned her head away and started to eat with her back facing the man.

It was a little awkward, but the man also coughed lightly. He heard the weird "Zhi Zhi" sound coming from the strange monkey on his shoulder. It seemed to be laughing at their strange actions, or blaming the man for not giving him the grilled fish first.

Shaking his head, the man passed another chain to the monkey on his shoulder.

"Here, this is yours."

Before the man could even react, he had already grabbed a skewer of grilled fish and jumped to the side. He fiercely bit into the grilled fish, and occasionally let out a "Zhi Zhi" sound, as if he was praising the man's grilled fish.

Hearing this, the man couldn't help but laugh. He helplessly glanced at the strange monkey that was happily eating, lightly tore off a piece of the tender fish, and began to taste it himself.

Other than the sound of fish spitting, there seemed to be silence in the valley. Two people and a monkey quietly enjoyed the taste and peace.

"Young Master, this strange monkey seems to understand human language and understand human nature. Why don't we ask it how to get out of the valley?"

In a short moment, the girl only ate one. She seemed to be full as she turned around. Now that her expression had returned to being calm, she glanced at the struggling strange monkey and said in a low voice.

After hearing that, the man was taken aback. Then, he thought for a while, and it was indeed as the woman said. Every time the two people said something, the strange monkey would "squeak" and perform a strange action.

"That's fine too. If you want to leave the valley, I'm afraid you'll have to rely on the strange monkey."

Just as the man replied, the strange monkey turned its head to look and saw him eating all the roasted fish on the stick. His belly was full as he lightly burped.

He looked enjoying the food as if he had not eaten for a long time and was enjoying himself to his heart's content.

"This monkey is really ?"

Laughing softly, the girl could not help but laugh when she saw its human like expression.

"Monkey, let me ask you. Do you know how to get out of this valley?"

The man helplessly shook his head and beckoned the strange monkey over as he asked in a low voice.

"Squeak squeak squeak squeak!"

The monkey face jumped onto the man's shoulder with a look of indignation, as if it was dissatisfied with the man calling it 'strange monkey'. It immediately turned into an expression of enjoyment.

"It seems like it likes to squat on your shoulder, but it seems like it was extremely dissatisfied with what you called it just now."

Looking at the man and the monkey's interesting appearances, the woman laughed.

"Green fur all over, what else can you call it if not a weird monkey?" The man curled his lips and said helplessly.

"Why don't we just call it Little Qing." After pondering for a moment, the woman suddenly suggested.

"Squeak squeak squeak squeak!" Before the man could reply, the monkey on his shoulder happily cried out. The two monkey claws unexpectedly began to flap with a "pa pa" sound, as if it was extremely satisfied with this name.

The man was speechless and shook his head helplessly. He really couldn't figure out what was going on with this strange monkey.

"Xiaoqing, do you know how to leave this deep valley?" Seeing the strange monkey's happy face, the woman also hurriedly asked, as if she was beating the iron while it was hot.

After two squeaking sounds, the monkey's head became a bit bigger. Its long tail was slightly dangling, swaying, and it had a complacent expression on its face.

"Then can you take us out of the valley?" Hearing this, the girl was so excited that she even stood up.

The monkey's head wiggled, and seeing that the two's fiery gazes were focused on its body, the strange monkey also seemed to be deep in thought. After the two waited for a while, the strange monkey didn't reply and actually jumped off the man's shoulder, waving, indicating that the two should follow him.

Seeing that, the man was overjoyed. He gave the woman a deep glance, or perhaps the two of them thought that the strange monkey was bringing the two of them away.

Two people and a monkey, one in front and one behind, were chasing each other as they traversed through the dense forest under the dark sky.

Under the moonlight, a faint silver radiance shone through the branches and leaves and scattered all over the ground. The two people who were running were excited, but their grip became tighter. It was as if their hands were tightly clasped together.

After an unknown amount of time, the two of them discovered that there was a problem. The surrounding trees were getting taller and thicker, as if they were running towards the center. However, there was not even a hint of moonlight.

"Young Master, where is Xiaoqing bringing us?"

She was slightly out of breath and asked. Apparently, the woman was running really hard.

"I don't know, but this strange monkey shouldn't harm us."

After thinking about it, he decided to eat it. Could it be that this strange monkey would kill the two of them with a flip of its hand?

Without saying another word, the woman trusted the sturdy figure in front of her. Even if there was danger, he would definitely stand in front of her, and that was enough.

"Squeak squeak squeak squeak!"

The strange monkey in front suddenly stopped moving. One of its claws pointed into the distance.

Under the duo's puzzled gazes, the bewilderment was instantly turned into shock along with the monkey claw.

Three weeks later, I posted 300 thousand words. I think I'm doing the right thing for my readers, and poor grades are my own problem. This book won't hit the streets, but I don't have that much passion and energy to update it.
