C9 Save Me!

At this moment, Lauren felt cold all over her body. She no longer had the strength to support herself to stand up. Her vision was a little blurry, and her head was dizzy. She could vaguely see a pair of clean leather shoes in front of her.

She raised her head with difficulty and looked up at the pair of long legs in front of her.

This person was very tall, and because of the light, she couldn't see his face clearly. However, the white shirt on his body was a clear contrast.

"What are you still standing there for? Hurry up and bring her back!"

The leader of the men in black regained his senses and ordered his companions behind him.

The remaining men in black also seemed to have woken up from a dream. They immediately planned to go up and capture her.

Lauren panicked and ignored who this person was. She hurriedly pulled at his pants and begged, "No... Don't let them capture me. Save me... Save me..."

"Hey, bro, I advise you not to meddle in other people's business."

The man in black quickly came forward. Seeing that Lauren was tightly holding onto the man's pants, his attitude immediately became tough.

Originally, Layne's eyes were still filled with surprise. However, when he saw that someone actually dared to order him around, his leopard-like eyes narrowed dangerously.

He raised his eyes coldly. In the rainy night, those sharp eyes contained a strong murderous aura, and a terrifying aura shook the men in black to the point that they felt fear.

"Scram! Don't let me say it a second time."

The arrogant and domineering words were filled with a threatening tone.

However, the words sounded like a provocation to the man in black. The two men clenched their fists and walked towards him with vicious expressions.

"I told you not to meddle in other people's business. It seems like I can't let you suffer."

The two men were obviously from the martial arts world. When they swung their fists, they were as fierce as tigers.

Layne stood where he was without moving. When he saw that one of the fists was about to reach his face, he suddenly turned his head and kicked out with his long leg.

Bang!

A muffled sound of a fist hitting the ground could be heard.

The burly man flew out like a kite with a broken string and heavily smashed into the ground, causing countless splashes of water.

Seeing that his companion had been swept away, the other man was a little angry. He turned his fist and attacked Lauren, who was on the ground.

Unfortunately, before his hand could touch her, Layne kicked him far away with a hook of his leg.

"All of you are trash. All of you, attack me!"

Seeing that his two subordinates were so easily dealt with, the leader in black waved his hand again and a few more men in black rushed forward.

Lauren did not know what happened after that. She only knew that she had reached her limit. Everything was dark in front of her, and she could no longer support herself. She fell to the ground.

Before she lost consciousness, she seemed to feel a large hand holding her waist. Then, she fell into a warm embrace.

...

When she woke up again, Lauren found herself lying on a wide bed.

The room looked familiar. The wall lamp on the wall gave off a warm yellow halo. She blinked and her heavy head made her unable to think straight.

Where was this?

She turned her eyes and saw a white figure standing by the French window.

The man had his back to her. He was wearing a white bathrobe and leaned against the wall. At this moment, he was holding a glass of red wine in his hand. His eyes were looking at the rain outside the window, lost in thought.

Lauren was obviously absent-minded for a moment and a trace of doubt appeared on her face.

Why was there a man here? Why was she in this place?

A sharp pain came from her head. Lauren tried to move her body, only to realize that the bones in her body seemed to have been dismantled. She felt weak and sore.

She frowned and groaned, startling the man by the window.

"Awake?"
