C1 Too Heartless!

The Myriad Beasts Mountain Range was a sprawling expanse of undulating peaks and verdant ancient trees that stretched endlessly into the horizon.

"Roar! Roar! Roar!"

Somewhere within the range, a series of thunderous beastly roars echoed.

A lion, massive as a hillock and engulfed in flames, stood face to face with a similarly enormous rhino, its body sheathed in a layer of impenetrable armor.

Perched a hundred meters away on a diminutive tree, Zhang Lingfeng shivered, his gaze locked on the awe-inspiring scene before him, his pupils dilated with fear and astonishment.

He had thought himself unfortunate enough when he realized he had been reborn as a long worm—a snake, to be exact. But fate had more misfortune in store; he had stumbled upon a clash of titanic animals.

Back on Earth, he was just an average young man fresh out of college, worn down by constant overtime and sleepless nights, until a sharp pain in his heart led to unconsciousness.

Awakening in this fantastical realm, he was immediately thrust into this distressing predicament.

Observing the formidable lion and rhino, Zhang Lingfeng wondered if he had been transported to some prehistoric age. But that couldn't be—why then was he so minuscule, merely the size of a palm?

He cast a glance at his own tiny form and then back at the monstrous creatures nearby, his heart sinking with a mix of despair and resentment.

On Earth, he had enjoyed novels where protagonists would become princes, nobles, or wealthy heirs, effortlessly impressing others and winning over beauties, ascending to life's pinnacle.

Yet here he was, transmigrated into a worm—a worm perpetually on the brink of death!

This was not the script he had envisioned.

Was his luck truly this abysmal?

As Zhang Lingfeng internally railed against his fate, a chilling mechanical voice abruptly resonated within his mind.

[Ding! Host's resentment has reached its peak. Infinite Plunder Evolution System now activated.]

[Ding! Binding Infinite Plunder Evolution System...]

[What? A system? Is this my lucky break?!]

The voice echoing in Zhang Lingfeng's mind caught him off guard.

He barely had time to explore this mysterious system when, a hundred meters away, the two colossal beasts had ceased their standoff and were now locked in ferocious combat.

"Fire-breathing? This lion can breathe fire? What kind of bizarre world have I stumbled into?!"

From his vantage point a hundred meters away, Zhang Lingfeng, now in serpent form, witnessed the lion unleashing flames and was struck dumb, momentarily forgetting both the system and his need to flee.

Zhang Lingfeng's inner screams of disbelief were a testament to his shattered scientific understanding.

Just then, a chunk of wood, a casualty of the beastly brawl, hurtled through the air and struck the tree where Zhang Lingfeng was coiled.

"Crack!"

The tree, unable to withstand the impact, snapped in two.

And down crashed Zhang Lingfeng's serpentine form to the ground.

The sensation of his body coming apart was so intense, Zhang Lingfeng nearly cursed out loud.

He felt like the epitome of misfortune; not only had he transmigrated into a snake, but he also faced mortal peril the moment he arrived in this world.

With no time for self-pity, he watched as the splintered behemoth of a tree plummeted toward him, a shadow of death looming over.

In that instant, ignoring the searing pain, Zhang Lingfeng's snake body frantically scrambled aside.

With a thunderous crash, the tree hit the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust. Zhang Lingfeng, having narrowly avoided disaster, was flung through the air by the shockwave.

"These two jerks, utterly insufferable! You two, the mountains may remain, the rivers may flow, but you'll answer to me."

"Next time we cross paths, I swear I'll turn you into my next meal!"

Zhang Lingfeng, once again hurled to the earth, was filled with such frustration and indignation he felt like spitting blood.

After silently cursing to himself, he clenched his teeth and, despite his injuries, began to flee with haste. He hoped against hope not to be caught in the crossfire again. But as fate would have it, his fears were quickly realized.

His small body hadn't gotten far when another fireball, ten times the size of a millstone, tore through the air towards him. The Scarlet Flame Fire Lion had launched it, but the Armored Rhinoceros intercepted it, sending a shockwave that hit Zhang Lingfeng squarely.

"This is just too cruel! Seriously, God? I've barely arrived in this world, and you're already throwing me to the wolves? Why so harsh?"

As the fireball loomed larger and larger in his eyes, Zhang Lingfeng's gaze was filled with a mix of intense despair and defiance. Memories of his life back on Earth flashed before his eyes like a rapid slideshow.

"I've got a family to look after, I haven't even had a girlfriend... I need to get back to Earth. I can't die here, I refuse to die!"

The heat from the approaching fireball seared his skin, and Zhang Lingfeng was wracked with unbearable pain, igniting within him a burning desire to grow stronger. If only he were powerful enough, he could live freely, without anyone dictating his fate.

"Ding! System binding successful!"

"Ding! Host life-threatening situation detected. Activating the system's protective feature: 'Violent Python Transformation'!"

The mechanical voice echoed in his mind once more, leaving a bewildered and desperate Zhang Lingfeng in its wake. Before he could make sense of it all, he felt a surge of immense energy pulsing through him, and his body began to swell rapidly.

In an instant, his coiled form had grown to match the size of the battling beasts. Yet the transformation didn't stop there. His body kept expanding until he was several times larger than both the fire lion and the rhinoceros.

In that moment, an overwhelming sense of power coursed through Zhang Lingfeng, compelling him to unleash a piercing, triumphant roar into the sky.

He had turned the tables, with the golden finger unleashing its might!

Determined to erase the stain of past disgrace, he sought retribution!
