Valerie sat in her study, listening to the recordings from Adam and Karen's bedroom. They'd not said anything tangible for a while, but instead they always kept arguing about irrelevant things.

“Ashley called for a board of directors meeting,” she heard Karen say. “We should use it to our advantage.”

Valerie's interest piqued and she adjusted on her chair
