C18 Uncle Is Not a Good Person!
In his heart, Ye Qingchuan already found Soong Qingyue intolerable. Hearing Dabao speak like this only confirmed his belief that Soong Qingyue was a woman with a terrifyingly deep capacity for scheming.
How could a three-year-old possibly know so much? No one would believe that Dabao hadn't been coached by Soong Qingyue.
Ye Qingchuan's disdain for Dabao and Erbao deepened when he recalled Soong Qingrou's claim that the children were the result of Soong Qingyue's misdeeds in prison.
Soong Dabao was blissfully unaware that his few words had sparked such a cascade of thoughts in Ye Qingchuan's mind. Even if he had known, he would have spoken his mind regardless. He had no interest in ingratiating himself with someone who mistreated his mother.
Throughout the journey, Soong Dabao had been whispering to Erbao. It wasn't until Ye Qingchuan, who was noticeably cold and even somewhat disgusted, told them to get out of the car that Soong Dabao took Erbao's hand and carefully climbed out.
They followed Uncle Ye towards the main hall. But Ye Qingchuan was walking too quickly for Soong Dabao and Soong Erbao's little legs to keep up.
The further they walked, the more frustrated Soong Dabao became. Finally, he stopped, pulling Erbao to a halt, and shouted after Ye Qingchuan, "Uncle Ye, can't you wait for us? Don't you realize we're just kids and can't walk as fast?"
Ye Qingchuan paused, his heart filled with irritation. Soong Qingyue's children were indeed cunning, even knowing how to exploit their vulnerabilities to elicit sympathy.
Dabao and Erbao, oblivious to Ye Qingchuan's thoughts, simply assumed he had a change of heart and stopped out of conscience.
Dabao, holding Erbao's hand, hurried to catch up with Ye Qingchuan. Standing beside him to ensure he didn't speed up again, Dabao reached out and grabbed Uncle Ye's hand.
The soft touch sent a jolt through Ye Qingchuan, who instinctively wanted to pull away. But when he turned and saw Soong Dabao's delicate features, he restrained himself.
"Uncle, let's go," Soong Dabao said, holding one hand of Ye Qingchuan and the other of Soong Erbao, as they continued on their way together.
After bringing Dabao and Erbao into the living room, Ye Qingchuan immediately released Soong Dabao's hand.
He pointed upstairs and said, "Your room is the third one on the second floor."
"Okay, Uncle," Dabao replied, eagerly tugging Erbao towards the stairs.
It was his first time in such an elegant house.
Yet, Soong Dabao didn't let it show, though his wide, round eyes gave away his awe.
Ye Qingchuan smirked, "You really haven't been anywhere, have you? Is this how Soong Qingyue raised you?"
Soong Dabao halted and turned to face Ye Qingchuan, earnestly explaining, "Uncle, we've lived in prison from birth until just a couple of days ago. It's normal for us not to have seen a big house. Please don't speak ill of Mommy, okay? She's had a tough time too."
"Heh, tough for her? She got what she deserved!" Ye Qingchuan snorted, his gaze turning dark and intense.
Soong Dabao wasn't fond of this uncle, but his mother had taught him to be polite, so he patiently said, "Uncle, my mother is innocent. It was her sister who committed the murder. My mother just took the fall for her."
Soong Dabao's words only made Ye Qingchuan view Soong Qingyue with even more disdain.
She even taught a three-year-old to lie.
"Do you not realize your mother has been deceiving you? The murderer is your mother. She has never been a good person, not once!"
Ye Qingchuan's low voice was harsh in Soong Dabao's ears, his young face tensed in displeasure.
