Chapter 22 - Gray USB flash drive

Mu Yi Chu finally had a reaction. But his first reaction was to rush to the sink and throw up again.

The middle-aged man outside was baffled by the sudden appearance of Mu Yi Chu. While shouting, "Young man, why are you running? What happened?", he walked into the apartment ?

"AHH!" The middle-aged man was so frightened by the scene before him that he fell to the ground. Only after a long while did he turn around to look at Mu Yichu, who was still vomiting by the sink.

He pointed shakily with one hand to the refrigerator, and with the other to Mui and Chu, and his voice trembled, and he said, "What the hell is going on, huh? Young man, what the hell is going on, eh? "

Mu Yi Chu was finally done vomiting. He used both hands to take the water and put it on his face. The cold water seemed to be able to make him forget what he had just seen. He picked up the small black bag on the workbench and, ignoring the middle-aged man's shouts and questions, turned to leave.

Seeing that Mu Yi Chu was about to leave instead of responding to him, the middle-aged man came to a sudden realization. As Mu Yi Chu passed by, he reacted quickly and pulled on Mu Yi Chu's thigh. However, before Mu Yi Chu could break free, he was so frightened that he released his hand when he saw the blood on Mu Yi Chu's foot.

Feeling that his thighs had been released, Mu Yi Chu didn't even bother to give another glance to the middle-aged man. He hastily tidied up his clothes, put on his shoes without putting on his socks and left.

He really didn't want to stay in that house for even a second.

Mu Yi Chu sat dejectedly in the back seat of the taxi. Only when he took out his phone from his pocket did he realize that there were about a dozen missed calls from He and Ze. He looked out the window and sighed deeply.

Needless to say, it was his boss who called him. Not only because he was busy working for no reason, but also because he had never been like this. Although his private life style was bad, he was basically a man with strong principles. Work has always been meticulous.

He never left the miners early and was late. He rarely even took a leave of absence. Therefore, He Heze, who was also his boss, cared deeply for Mu Yichu. Even though he knew that Mu Yi Chu was a cold person, he never minded. It had always been within Mu and Chu's range of acceptance, giving him as much attention as he could.

Mu Yi Chu frowned as he looked out of the window at the parasol trees by the roadside that were about to lose all their leaves. They were so tall and independent, but the white spots on the tree trunk made them seem somewhat fragile and helpless.

How good it was to make a tree. Silence. No pain, no addiction. Mu Chu didn't want to lie. But he couldn't tell He and Ze the truth.

The phone was awakened by Mu Yi Chu's shaking. The shiny screen showed that the upper left corner was running out of battery power, which was a dangerous red low. He hesitated for a few seconds, then pressed the call back.

"Hello, Little Chu?" The phone had only rung for an instant before it was picked up by the other party. An anxious voice transmitted from Mu Yi Chu's ears to Mu Yi Chu's heart.

"Yes." Zetas, today, I am not feeling very well, and have not woken up since I went to sleep. " Mu Yi Chu slowly said as he considered his options.

"You can tell me that if you're not feeling well, but I'm not talking about you, it's fine to rely on your friends every now and then." After saying that, He and Ze paused for a moment, afraid that Mu Yi Chu might not like it. They coughed and said, "How is it now? Do you need me to come over and visit you?"

Without waiting for Mu Yi Chu to speak, He Hai Ze heard the faint sound of a car horn coming from his phone. He raised his voice and asked, "Are you outside now?"

"Mm, go buy some medicine and go back immediately." He and Ze were about to speak, but Mu Yi Chu was planning to speak first. "Just take the medicine." I'm fine. Zetas. You don't have to do this on purpose. I'll go back to bed in a minute. I'll go to work tomorrow. "

Mu Ichu knew that He and Ze would probably be a little disappointed to hear him reject them like this. But he really did not want to be seen in such a pathetic state. He looked at himself in the mirror and then quickly looked away.

He didn't even want to look at it.

He and Ze on the other end of the phone became silent. Although Mu Yi Chu seemed to be an amiable and charming playboy, but Mu Yi Chu was extremely picky. Normal people more or less have their own small circle. However, he felt that Mu Yi Chu couldn't find anyone else who could be called a friend other than him. However, He Heshan wasn't sure if his so-called friendship was just a one-sided decision on his part.

The two remained silent for a while, before Mu Yichu said in a hoarse voice, "Then Zetas, I'll be hanging up first. Your phone will soon be out of battery. "

"Alright, then rest well." Rest for a few more days if you don't feel well. Don't worry about the store. I can handle it for a few days by myself. " He and Ze still didn't say anything.

The two of them were both men who had passed their thirties. Talking too much would always make them seem pretentious.

"Alright, thank you Zetas." With that, Mu Yi Chu hung up the phone and put it in his pocket. He felt tired after looking at the scenery outside the window which was moving at high speeds. He simply raised his head and leaned on the back of the seat and closed his eyes.

When they got home, Mu Yi Chu purposely looked at the shoes on the entrance hall.

It seemed that the female tenant was not at home. He didn't know if he was out or if he hadn't moved in yet. If it was the latter, then it was really a bit too much money. There were always so many people in the world who risked their lives just to make money, and so many people who were easily able to spend like dirt. Mu Chu didn't have much of a grudge against the rich, nor did he have much of an excess of emotions to sympathize with others.

After taking off his shoes, Mu Yi Chu looked at the dried blood stains on the back of his feet. He moved his toes and bent his feet. He felt an uncomfortable tightness in the skin where the blood was. He walked barefoot to the bathroom. Fortunately, the ground was not dirty. He had hired the family. They come every Wednesday and Sunday to clean up regularly. Mu Yi Chu was a person who liked cleanliness.

He stood under the shower with his head thrown back, the water sloshing on his face, and he felt as if he were crying. Those who did not make a sound or even shed a tear were filled with grief. It was just like the pain in his heart that could not be seen nor released. Even he felt disgusted, disgusted, and reluctant to touch the foam as it ran down his body.

Mu Yi Chu finally experienced what it meant to be mentally wounded. He also finally understood why some psychopaths looked so normal. As some Japanese dramas say, it is impossible to tell how much pain a person has from the outside.

He did not understand why the so-called great men tended to regard pain as a creed and a good thing. He did not get to see such a point, and he scoffed at things like Gorkieru's famous words that he had learned in the language class in the past. If pain made progress, he preferred to be only indifferent to happiness. He wouldn't believe it even if he was reborn. After he died, everything would be gone.

Mu Yi Chu returned to his room and landed heavily on his bed. The sunken sheet was quickly soaked by the water on Mu Yi Chu's body and was slowly spreading. Mu Yi Chu suddenly thought of Bai Jingling. People always want to find something to comfort them when they are weak.

He opened the drawer of his bedside table. He remembered that he had probably left it there that day.

Indeed.

He was hesitating whether to make a call or something. A short while later, Mu Yi Chu still opened his WeChat, entered his phone number, searched for Bai Jingling, and sent a friend request on WeChat.

At that time, Bai Jingling who was on the other side of the ocean was sleeping soundly. The time zone between her country and Mu Yichu was tens of hours apart. The distance between day and night allowed Bai Jingling to miss her first time looking for her ever since they parted ways.

This was something that had been on her mind ever since she died. This was because she had always held a sliver of fantasy in her heart. If she had promptly responded to Mu Yi Chu, wouldn't her story be different from Mu Yi Chu's?

After sending the friend request, Mu Yi Chu collapsed onto his bed. It was three parts poison. His body, especially his brain, was extremely exhausted. He put his right arm over his eyes. He needed a peaceful sleep.

Everything will wait until I wake up. Whether it was the woman's revenge or the little black bag.

He didn't know how long he slept. Mu Yi Chu heard the sound of someone opening the door. In his blurry mind, he wondered if it was his aunt who was hearing the sound of the trunk wheels rolling again. Mu Yi Chu was also confused as he thought about it. This should be a female tenant that he had yet to meet.

He tried to open his eyes after a few moments of deep sleep, though he remembered that he had gone to meet the lodger. Thus, Mu Yi Chu fell into a deep slumber.

By the time Mu Yi and Chu Yu woke up from their sleep, it was already the middle of the night. He rubbed his eyes, trying to adjust to the light coming off the screen. When he opened it, he discovered that Bai Jingling had already accepted his friend request and sent him a few messages.

"Mu Yi Chu?"

"Excuse me, but I see it sometimes?"

"The other party has withdrawn their information."

"You can call me back when you wake up. If you have urgent business, you can call me at any time."

"It's okay to make a phone call."

Mu Yichu glanced at it and saw that there was quite a bit of time between each message before he sent it over. Anyone could feel Bai Jingling's carefulness and caution as they looked at the gray time displayed between the messages and the hint to recall them.

Mu Yi Chu threw his phone to the side and didn't reply. He no longer had the desire to say anything to Bai Jingling. It was time to see the contents of the bag. As Mu Yi Chu thought of this, he quickly got up.

He plugged the gray USB drive into the computer and hesitated as he opened the file to see a video.

He was afraid that there would be something inside that he did not want to see.

After the cursor stopped at the play button for a long time, the index finger that was placed on the left mouse button finally pressed down. Mu Chu knew he couldn't escape. Moreover, he had to confirm.
