C6 Chapter 6

Her heart leaped at the sight of him, he was tall with broad shoulders that took her straight to the moon. His hair was dark as night, red lips and sharp green eyes that pierced through her soul.

Prisca couldn't help but stare, not caring who she is. She has never seen a human this breathtaking and his whole appearance made her so weak that she got her mouth run dry.

She couldn't move her body as they both locked eyes in total silence, their mouths not producing any words as they only communicated through their heart.

With this silent love at first sight, Prisca gulped hard, her eyes not able to live this stranger who made her knees weak with passion.

"Why the stare lady?" His thick muscular voice brought her back into reality.

Quickly, Prisca adjusted herself and felt a bit embarrassed that she got carried away just by staring at this handsome man in front of her.

"I am sorry about that" she quickly said in a husky tone, the feeling of silliness began to flood through her.

The man didn't say a word to her but watched her with those sharp green eyes. Prisca felt like she might explode any second, he had his eyes on her scanning her clothes and she wondered if she wore the wrong cloth because there was not a look of friendliness in his eyes, nothing but disgust.

Not able to take the silence anymore as the whole thing was making her feel very awkward and uncomfortable.

"I am sorry, I lost my way around the house, I want nothing but to find my way to my room" she quickly said avoiding his gaze.

To her shock, the young man didn't say a word, he just turned the knob of the door and went into the room slamming the door.

Prisca was shocked, she could feel her bones weakened and the look of shame glued to her face. Who is this man that is incredibly handsome and so rude at the same time?, it slowly began to anger her that she held her hand in a fist, her eyebrows furrowed in rage.

"You don't have to be angry, he is like that at times" a voice said beside her. Prisca Turned to her side and was surprised to see a young man, he had dark hair just like the rude guy she just encountered, his lips were pink, full eyebrows and two dimples rested on his cheeks, his gray eyes fixed on her. Prisca Couldn't deny that this guy is handsome too but he isn't up to the looks of this rude guy who just treated her like she is trash.

"I am sorry, my twin brother can be mean at times" he walked closer to her with a smile.

Prisca stared at him in surprise, "Your twin?" She asked with a raised brow.

He nodded, "Yes he is' ' he stretched forth his hand towards her, his dimples still visible and Prisca can't help but notice how cute he is but he doesn't have the bad boy hot look his brother has.

"I am Rex, you must be Prisca, our father talked about you a lot and he informed us that you will be coming over today. It's nice to meet you in person and welcome to the family" he said politely, offering her a handshake.

With all the words he said, Prisca needed no one to tell her that this young man standing before her is no one but her step brother along with the rude hot guy.

With a smile on her face, she stretched forth her hand and shook him, "Nice to meet you Rex. I am sorry that we had to meet each other in such an awkward way. I got lost on my way to my room and I just wanted nothing but assistance from your brother but his character is very unapproved" she said, not hiding her disdain.

Rex laughed, "Grey isn't that bad, he just gets on the bar side sometimes and that gets him hard to strangers. I guess he doesn't know that you are family now".

Gen nodded, "Oh, I see" she responded and looked around not knowing what else to say.

"You say that you are lost?" Rex raised an eyebrow.

"Yes I am".

"But, the maid is supposed to take you to your room, this is your first time here, they shouldn't leave you all by yourself just to locate where you are going to stay" he pointed out, a bit surprised.

Prisca smiled, "It's nothing, I guess they are so busy with our parents' wedding. Well, the maid I met directed me but I just can't find any stairs at the end of this large hallway".

Rex smiled at her, "What instructions did she give to you?" He inquired.

"Well, she told me to take the right path after climbing the stairs from the large living room downstairs and I did exactly as she said but I am surprised that I haven't gotten any signs of a staircase". She complained.

Rex let out a soft laugh, Prisca Looked at him wondering why he was laughing.

"What's funny?" She raised an eyebrow at him still maintaining her calm face even though she cannot explain what must be amusing him.

"I am so sorry" Rex let out a smile on his face, "But I am afraid to tell you that you took the right path instead of the left. The stairs you need to take to your room aren't far once you are on the left path. I am sorry about that".

Feeling stupid, she couldn't help but laugh at her mistake, she scanned the hallway where they stood and felt a bit stupid. "I am sorry I got things mixed up" she laughed softly.

Rex shoved his hand at her, "It's fine, no one is above mistake. This is your first time here so you are bound to make mistakes and it's very much understandable" he walked towards her and collected her luggage from her.

"Come on, let me show you to your room, we are family now and it won't be nice if I don't render help to you when it is obvious that I can". He smiled and began to lead the way.

With her hand bag and her fingers wrapped around her phone, she smiled a smile of relief feeling at peace that he chose to help her, she doesn't want to spend the night roaming around these large halls.

"Thank you Rex" she said to him.

"You are welcome" the young man in front of her responded and they headed towards the path that leads to her place of comfort.
