C5 Last Dinner(4)

The heavy footsteps were like muffled drums. Chung Jingchen could clearly see a gray figure. The long cloak was dragging on the ground, leaving a red trail wherever it passed. This made Chung Jingchen think of a snail.

The old man lying in the middle suddenly jumped up and stepped forward to support the master of the castle.

The surroundings suddenly lit up. Countless candles were placed in their small windows, emitting a weak light. When combined together, they could be compared to a white light bulb.

The people on the table saw the appearance of the person and cried out in alarm. The couple's woman seemed to want to scream loudly, and her mouth was covered by the man's death grip. Her eyeballs were about to burst out.

The man's head was not complete. A few bugs were moving on top of it. It looked like a patch of red, but its mouth was as small as a grain of rice. It was even slightly extended forward, and its face could not be seen clearly. It was full of fine scars.

Chung Jingchen and Wai Heng looked at each other and stood up.

Wai Heng pulled the chair away and let Chung Jingchen sit down.

Chung Jingchen did not stand on ceremony and sat up openly. Wai Heng stood on his right with his hands behind his back.

He thought they were the masters and had a bodyguard with them.

He did not take the master of the castle seriously at all.

It was probably because the two of them acted too fearlessly and sat at the furthest position from the master of the castle. The others quietly moved their chairs and leaned against them.

Chung Jingchen leaned forward a little and put his hand on the table. He realized that what he thought was scars were actually black and gray bugs. They lay quietly on the castle master's face without moving. If he did not have good eyesight and saw the bugs' segments, he would have been fooled.

The atmosphere did not seem to be livelier because of the brightness of the light. Instead, it became even more deathly silent.

The castle master took out the hand hidden in the cloak. The fine fur covered the entire hand. He picked up the knife and fork placed beside the bowl and knocked on the plate.

The old man quickly bent down.

The castle master rolled his eyes and fiercely tore a hole in his mouth. Blood immediately gushed out and splashed onto the dining table.

He didn't forget to pull it up and smile. Blood rolled out and covered his entire chin. This time, let alone girls, the few men present almost rolled down from their chairs and desperately retreated.

The castle master seemed to be very satisfied with the reaction of these people. He turned his head and spoke intimately to the old man. He heard a mosquito circling around his ear.

Chung Jingchen watched the master of the castle closely. He saw the old man walk towards the kitchen at the end of the restaurant after he finished speaking. It seemed that he was going to serve the dishes.

"Master's house. This is a bit embarrassing. Just an old man serving you?" Chung Jingchen knocked on the table with his knuckles. The clear and muffled sound attracted the contractor.

At some point, the contractor's mouth had returned to its original state. There were no signs of tearing at all. It was as if the horrifying scene just now had been a fantasy.

The castle owner looked at Chung Jingchen. His empty and lifeless eyes kept rolling around.

Wai Heng bent down. The hair on his forehead was hanging down, making his face look a little more gentle.

"How can you anger him? Be careful that he comes to play with you tonight."

Chung Jingchen tilted his head slightly and met Wai Heng's eyes. His Adam's apple appeared perfectly in front of his eyes. There were clear veins on the side of his neck.

"Then I'll have to pull you along."
