Qimu smiled. A trace of doubt flashed across her eyes as she said:

"What does master mean by this?"

Without waiting for the monk to reply, Yang Lili and Ye Dazhuang rushed up. Yang Lili pointed at the monk in surprise and said,

"Master, were you the expert that passed by my house when we were traveling?"

Yang Lili then realized that her actions were inappropriate, so she quickly blessed herself and bowed to the monk. She then looked eagerly at the monk. The woman's rules had been thrown far away.

What was more important than her, Mu?

The monk nodded and said:

"Madam, you have a good memory. This old man is that passerby from back then."

Yang Lili was not the only one getting agitated after hearing that. Ye Dazhuang could no longer suppress his temper. He pulled Qimu and shouted,

"My daughter, come, hurry up and pay your respects to the master. He's your benefactor …"

Qimu thought it was funny when she heard this. Did her father have a screw loose? She had clearly seen the courtesy just now. Although she was thinking this in her heart, Qimu's actions were obedient. She gave the monk a full bow and said:

"Master."

When the monk saw this, he chuckled. His benevolent appearance made him look like a Buddha from the heavens in the west.

"Master, I beg of you, please save my Mu. She's a good child. She shouldn't have been wasted so easily in her entire life …"

Yang Lili knelt down in front of the monk, wailing in grief. She beat Qimu up and did not wait for Qimu to react. Unexpectedly, Ye Dazhuang also knelt down along with Yang Lili and said:

"Master, please be merciful and save my daughter. We can't let her be ruined forever …"

Yang Lili and her husband were kneeling in front of the monk. Qimu was completely confused, but she couldn't help but kneel down as well. Her parents were both kneeling, so what was it for her to stand by herself?

Before the monk could say anything, Aunt Wu walked down from the high hall angrily and said with a frown:

"What are you two up to? "Don't think that just because you invited a lousy monk of unknown origins, that lass will be able to turn the sky upside down. This is the rule; what should be done or done!"

Niu Chuxi was stunned for a while. Finally, he got out from his memory. With a happy expression, he quickly walked forward and pulled Aunt Wu's arm back. He growled in a low voice,

"Calm down, don't you see who is in front of you? You dare to do this? Do you have any rules? Do you want to be kicked out of Niu Village after offending a noble? "

Niu Chuxi was slightly satisfied when he saw Aunt Wu standing in the corner with her head down as if she did not dare to speak anymore. He took a deep breath, straightened his clothes and walked up to the monk.

"Master, it has been many years since we last met. How have you been?"

"Excellent."

Seeing the interaction between the monk and Village Head Niu, the corner of Qimu's mouth curled up slightly. However, her eyes were as calm as a serene pool of water. Just where did this monk come from?

"All of you get up. This old man is a Buddha, but not a Buddha. It's useless for all of you to kneel."

His face was wrinkled like a ravine, and his every move was not overly intimate. However, for some reason, people would always feel like they were looking at him and listening to his words, feeling the warmth of a spring breeze blowing through their bodies.

Everyone stood up, but all of them lowered their heads in front of the monk, which was a form of respect from the bottom of their hearts. Qimu felt more and more that there must be something going on inside, it was not because this monk had a huge background, if not, with his shabby clothes, even in such a remote place like Niu Village, how could he get such respect?

"Grandmaster, what have you come here for?"

Niu Chuxi slightly raised his eyes. Based on the fact that he was the head of the village and had the highest status here, he boldly opened his mouth to ask. His expression was very careful, as if he was afraid that the master would anger him.

On the other hand, that monk did not have many rules. He slowly said with a smile,

"Village Head Niu is indeed capable. After so many years, who knows how many juniors he has been through. From generation to generation, there have been many talents. Village Head Niu is still the village chief."

Niu Chuxi couldn't figure out what the monk meant. Was he praising his abilities? He had been the village chief for too long, so he could only smile. However, he felt that it was not good to be a master, so he tried saying:

"Among the younger generation of Niu Village, has Master taken a fancy to any of them?"

Who knew that the monk would only smile as he stroked his beard. His calm eyes seemed to see through Niu Chuxi's thoughts, yet he did not reveal it on the surface. He only said that:

"This old man has not come here today to work for the Village Chief. He is here to select a talented individual. He has come here this time only to seek personal favor from the Village Chief."

"Master, please speak, even if I had to use all of my Niu Village, my Niu Village would take it as such. Moreover, Niu Village still owes Master a favor, it should be Niu Village after all."

The monk smiled amiably as he glanced at Qimu before shifting his gaze back to Niu Chuxi. He said slowly:

"What this old man wants is what this couple wants."

When Niu Chuxi heard this, he could not believe it and said:

"Grandmaster, we're talking about Mu, but that …"

The monk nodded. His eyes were calm and firm. With an irrefutable strength, he said:

"Exactly, this is the matter that this old man was talking about."

Ye Dazhuang and Yang Lili, who were standing to the side, supported each other as tears streamed down their faces. They started to incoherently thank the master. Qimu, as the person involved, naturally had her own thoughts, but seeing Yang Lili crying again, she went forward to comfort her.

After hearing the monk's affirmation, Niu Chuxi slightly frowned and said decisively,

"Mu has never been guilty of being a Bodhisattva. Since Master has spoken up for Mu, he might as well not do anything.

"Master, rest assured, I will personally report this to the ancestor and village elders to prevent this girl from suffering."

The monk seemed to have anticipated these words. With a calm expression, he nodded and said:

"Very good."

He then looked at Qimu with a faint smile and said:

"Miss, can you chat with this old one for a while?"

"Master, of course, it doesn't matter how long you have to say it …"

Before Qimu could say anything, Yang Lili choked with sobs as she answered on her behalf. As if she was afraid that Qimu wouldn't be sensible, she told Qimu in public:

"Mu, you have to speak nicely to the Grand Master. I missed your little life, and it was even saved by the Grand Master. Otherwise, how could you be the you today?" Even your name was given to you by the great master condescension. You must speak properly with the great master. In front of the great master, you must be respectful … "

Qimu was helpless. When had she ever done something that didn't follow the rules? After Yang Lili responded, Qimu followed the monk out of the main gate under the gaze of the crowd.

Qimu didn't know where the monk was heading to. She only felt that the surrounding scenery, which she had obviously been watching day after day, had somehow changed with every step she took. However, when she took a closer look, it seemed that nothing had changed.

When the monk finally stopped, Qimu already had a headache. It was as if countless needles were stabbing her. She barely managed to straighten her body. In a trance, she saw the monk gently wave his wide sleeves.

"Lady, are you better? This life-altering rebirth is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Naturally, it will endure a bit more than the others. "

Qimu looked at the monk with an amiable smile on his face. Her eyes gradually became cold and her heart trembled slightly. The gentle smile on his face remained the same as usual, but he didn't say anything.

The monk did not care about Qimu's reaction and continued:

"If young lady wishes to succeed in this life, then you will have to pass three tribulations. This old man has helped you through two, and the remaining tribulation cannot be interfered with rashly. Whether you live or die, will all be decided by young lady with a thought."

Qimu's smile became even brighter when she heard this. However, her eyes were clearly secretly shining. After a long while, she slowly said:

"Does the master know who I am? Do you know where I come from? "

"How could I not know? However, a strand of lonely soul, there is no need to delve too deeply into these matters. Just live in the present moment and that will be the true meaning of your life. "

"Buddhist Insight? I don't believe in Buddhism, where does it come from? Who was the Buddha? "How can you control me?"

"One flower, one world. One leaf, one Subhuti."

Qimu suddenly felt that she had made a mistake when she heard the monk say this word by word. She calmed her heart and said,

"Master, please forgive me. Qimu has no intention to offend you. However, there are many doubts in her mind. Please answer them, Master."

"This old man knows what to say."

"I was already dead. Why am I still alive? Could it be that everyone is like that?"

"This is your destiny. The debt that you owe from your previous life, if you want to repay it in this life, you will have to live it up. Other people have their own destiny. How can a mere land allow all living things to reincarnate? "

"Debt? "Whose debt?"

The monk shook his head and said:

"When the time comes, Miss will naturally know. If I say too much, I'll ruin the cause and effect. On the contrary, it won't be beautiful."

"Alright, then I won't ask you this, but Master can always tell me, what are the three tribulations that I will face in this life?"

The first of these three tribulations is to change your name. You and she are a thousand years apart, so if you want to borrow her name to live, then your name should be the same.

Qimu's original name was Ye Jinhua, but she was later changed to Ye Qimu. Thinking about it, that monk must have said something about this.

The second tribulation is today's. The Dark Dweller Tribulation is something that originally did not belong to you, and your soul hasn't fused with your body. Normally, there is nothing to be done, but if you spend the night in the same coffin as the Dark Dweller, then your soul will be destroyed.

Qimu shuddered. Fear could be seen in her eyes. She had thought that she would be fine, but who would have thought that … Calming herself down, she asked:

"What about the third tribulation?"

The third tribulation, that is the true great tribulation. The first two tribulations, this old man can help you pass through them safely, but the last tribulation is powerless, and that is the Buddha's will. When you solve it yourself, this old man can only remind the young lady one more time: Everything must be resolved in one thought.

When Qimu heard this, she knew that it was impossible for the monk to say anything more. She then turned around, bowed, and thanked the monk.

The monk smiled and was about to leave. However, before he left, he turned his head back and said:

"This old one's journey is boundless, and I have some fate with you. Thus, I'll say one more thing. The wutong's perching phoenix, this young lady shouldn't stay here any longer. There's no point in staying any longer."
