C9 The Contingent Plan

George was already on his way home, he chose to trek because it was not that far.

He had fully regained his consciousness and strength. He thought about his horrible experience with the cab driver and it troubled him.

He started analyzing the scenarios in his head.

"I think that driver was just a pawn used to luring me into a trap! who could those masked men be? and how did the first one know my name? I must get the answers to my questions." he thought to himself.

He was scared of calling a cab, so he continued walking till he got to the coffee shop he entered and sat down. Can I get a latte please? He asked.

"Ok sir" a waitress replied. She gently brought it to him as he drank it and it reminded him of Laura. her fresh touch, her beautiful smile, and irresistible green eyes. I think she cast a spell on me, she's so lovely, I owe her my life. How do I find her again? oh I remember she works at Garry Motors, but how do I go there now without being attacked again. I must do things differently this time. I need to see her again." he thought to himself. He kept thinking till he got home.

"Oh I'm home! no place like home! he yelled as he jumped on his bed excitedly. his eyes turned to the wall clock, it then reminded him of the important project which he had totally forgotten about.

Wow today is Wednesday, oh the project! I almost forgot! what has gotten over me! and I haven't been present at the shop for a day now! This will affect this project so badly! I think these whole incidents have affected my brain. what do I do now! I think this girl Laura is making me lose my mind and focus! it's like she has bewitched me! I need rest for my brain to restart!" he yelled, closed his eyes and slept off.

Meanwhile back at the building where George was previously held hostage, the masked men were discussing among themselves.

"I think Laura can't be trusted! she must have fallen in love with that boy! The girls at the company always speak about his good looks! But he's not that fine!" they're just blind! Jack yelled angrily.

"Sorry to say this boss! you're saying that out of jealousy we all know how charming the guy is ever since he stepped foot into the company a lot of female workers have been talking about him! calling him the handsome hero!" Michael yelled fearlessly.

"Wait a minute! Did you just say that to me! you have the guts to say that Michael! How dare you!" Jack yelled angrily.

"But it's the truth," Dave added.

"Please let's just focus on the matter we have currently! That boy has escaped. I think Laura knows about it. Let's pay her a visit! That's my suggestion!" Thomas yelled.

"I'll let this slide for now Michael! But this shouldn't repeat itself again! you're right Thomas we have to find that boy! But first we must find Laura; she knows about his whereabouts! let's go!" He yelled.

They all pick up their weapons and leave for Laura's house.

It took them just twenty minutes to arrive at Laura's house. as they arrived Jack kicked the door angrily. "open the door Laura! you know why we are here!" he yelled.

She gently stood up from her bed, rushed to the door and opened it.

Shivering out of fear, she fell on her knees pleading with them "I'm sorry Jack!"

"Get up Laura! keep your apologies to yourself! we don't need it now! Where is George? We came here early this morning. He wasn't here! It seems you told him about our plans! have you let your emotions get in the way?" Jack asked her curiously.

She gently stood up, still shivering out of fear. She couldn't answer the question.

"You better say something now or I'll blow up your head with this gun!" Jack threatened.

"Please I beg of you don't kill me! please! I did everything as you instructed! I made him fall for me! After that I went to bed! I left early in the morning as you instructed! only to come back and find my house upside down which meant that you all didn't find him! I couldn't believe it! I didn't tell him anything I swear! He just left on his own! Please try and understand!" she pleaded.

"She's lying! I can see it in her eyes. I don't believe any word that's coming out from her treacherous lips! she played us, she let him escape and now she's trying to protect him and cover her tracks!" Felix yelled.

Shut up Felix! I'll be the judge of this Laura. I don't understand all this gibberish you're speaking! you're not telling the Truth! you're trying to tell me that he doesn't know about our plans! Then why did he leave? answer me!" Jack yelled.

"I don't know! Please, I don't know why he left. but I can still get him for you! he fell in love with me, I still have him on my fingertips! I'll lure him back to my nest! just give me one last chance!" she pleaded again.

"Hahaha! Laura there are no second chances anymore! You had your chances you still let him skip from your fingertips you have broken my trust it's like a glass that when it's broken it can't be fixed! It's too late, Jack yelled.

"Please Jack! One more chance I promise I won't fail you again! please?" she fell down on her knees again pleading.

Dave and the other five turned their backs on her but Jack felt within himself that she was telling the truth.

"Ok I'll give you one final chance, this time everything must work according to the plan if it doesn't work! Laura I will pluck out your eyes, do you understand?

"Yes I'll be serious this time boss!" she yelled excited)y.

"You better listen to me Laura, I don't want any mistakes again!" Jack warned her.

Dave and the others with their backs turned and frowned their faces when they heard what Jack just said.

"You better pay attention to all of you! This plan is the final one. If anyone does anything to jeopardize it, I will deal with the person mercilessly!" Jack threatened.

This what you'll do, listen carefully Laura, you will invite him to your house, since you said he's already yours! he won't hesitate to come over. make him very comfortable. If you know what I mean, after doing that he'll be vulnerable then inject him with a sedative and leave your house immediately don't hesitate, we'll take it from there! Do you understand? " Jack yelled.

"Yes boss I do!" she replied with a mischievous smile on her face.

"Now go execute it! Jack yelled and left her house with the others.

Laura takes a deep breath and heads to the bathroom and takes a fresh shower after she is done. She whispered to herself "he won't be able to resist me Tonight. this time he'll bend to my will! She goes to the drawer and picks up a beautiful black transparent gown! she smiles mischievously and whispers again. "oh the winds of my kisses will make him beg for more!"

She gently puts on the gown and wears her beautiful perfume, called pure distance with an irresistible scent.

She chuckled and whispered "I bet the smell of my perfume will capture his breath and he will beg for it like it's the breath of life haha!"

So she was now fully dressed. She gently left her house and locked her door, calling a cab heading downtown.

Meanwhile, back at George's house he was snoring very loudly! It was very loud to the extent that It woke his neighbor, an old man named Mr.Justin. He couldn't bear it anymore; he rushed to George's house and banged at his door.

"Keep it down pig! we are trying to sleep here! Don't you know you're snoring too loud!" he yelled angrily.

His voice was so loud that it woke George up.

Mr. Justin "I'm sorry! " he apologized and got up from his bed. He then went to his mailbox and saw an invitation card. He read the note written on it "Jenny and Felix's party downtown" you're invited by Laura your darling."

He became very excited.

"Wow! Laura's inviting me to a party! oh yeah I'm going for it!" He yelled

He rushed to his drawer and picked up one of his suits and put it on. and wore his most costliest perfumes.

"Laura my love! I knew we'd meet again!" he yelled with a smile, then he left his house banging the door of his house disturbing the old man again.

"What's wrong with you George! I'm trying to sleep here! can't an old man sleep around here! since when did you become this noisy!" Mr Justin yelled.

"I'm sorry sir!" George apologized as he made his way to the streets, hailed a cab and took off to the party.
