C1 Prologue

"Breaking news: Former Ms. Universe 2017, Azhia Andrada, just got engaged to her long-time French partner, Christian Cartwright."

I was coming down the stairs when I saw my mom watching the news about my engagement with Christian. It's only been a few days since the article about our wedding was released, but it quickly spread and became the talk of the public.

I approached Mommy and asked. She wasn't happy about my engagement. From the very beginning, he doesn't want Christian for me, which I don't understand why. Face to face, she shows her distaste for the man. For several years, Christian has been trying to get her heart and catch the tickle, but he always fails.

"Mommy," I whispered, trying to get her attention which was still focused on the television. I snorted when she didn't pay attention or look at me.

"I don't want him for you," she started. I already know that. She kept telling me that she didn't like my boyfriend.

"Mommy, I'm getting old. I'm at the right age to start my own family. Don't you want to have grandchildren?"

"I want to, but I don't want someone from his race."

I secretly laughed in my mind because of his seemingly childish nagging. I can't figure out why she is like this to my boyfriend. Christian is a great man. A very great man, indeed.

"I like Chaos."

Chaos. I was stunned and speechless when I heard that last name from my mother. She gradually faced me and seemed to be happy with my reaction. I averted my gaze and swallowed again and again.

"Chaos Valderama. He's the one you want, isn't he?"

I was a bit shocked, but I still managed to compose myself. It's been a long time since I last heard his name, but the effect of that name still hasn't changed on me.

I bit my lower lip as I said goodbye to Mommy and left. I also sent Christian a message telling him I would roam around the Island.

Isla del Carbonel became my comfort place. It's very peaceful and relaxing, from the towering coconut trees to a paradise-like river. This is the same place where I lost my virginity to him, to Chaos. Upon hearing his name a while ago, made me come here. It's been a long time since I last came here.

"Azhia."

Along with the birds singing and the trees, dancing came to a baritone voice chanting my name. I closed my eyes as the wind hit my face.

"I missed you," he told me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

My body stiffened because of what he did. I felt his hot breath on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and looked at the clouds to prevent my tears from falling. I missed this. I missed him, his touches, his sweetness, his stares, and even on how he pronounced my name. I missed everything about him.

He gradually introduced me to him. He pulled my waist closer to his body. I can feel his breath hitting my lips. I couldn't move for some unknown reason. My heart skipped from beating when I felt his lips land on mine. He kissed me gently, and I felt like floating in the air. Every movement of his lips was intoxicating. His lips are soft and sweet, and I am addicted.

"Respond, Azhia. Respond." He returned his lips to mine again. At this time, I let myself respond to him and followed every movement of his lips. His kisses became aggressive. He forcefully opened my mouth with his tongue and slid it into me to wander around. A moan suddenly escaped my mouth when he tugged my lips with his teeth.

I was panting when he left my lips and moved to my neck. He kissed and licked it hungrily, which made me moan his name.

He caressed my cheeks and rested his forehead, leading me to a shocking realization.

"Stop, Chaos! This doesn't seem right," I said and pushed him away. He let out a loose chuckle as he fixed his hair a bit.

I missed him a lot, but I know this doesn't seem right. This is wrong. It's unfair, especially since I'm getting married to Christian.
