Lillian followed her usual routine of delivering breakfast to Charles.

"I prepared salmon steak for breakfast," Lillian announced as she entered his office.

Charles dropped the teddy bear on his table. "Please, take this out of my office," he said, his tone neutral.

Lillian stepped closer, picked up the bear, and placed it in her bag. "Thank you, sir. I'll get going now," she said
