C3 The Encounter

"I failed?, But there’s no way, Can you check that again?

I did so well in my interview. They loved me.." Lilian said in disbelief, her voice filled with disappointment as she dropped down her phone.

She was feeling down as she headed to her mom‘s dressing room.

"Yes, I understand" she ended up.

"Oh, my daughter, you came,“ Grace exclaimed, her arms outstretched in excitement.

"Hey, what on earth are you wearing?"

"It’s my wedding not my funeral" as she ordered her stylist to dress up Lilian.

"You told me you weren’t going to show up," Grace questioned, a hint of surprise in her voice.“. Grace asked.

"I came hoping this would be your last wedding" Lillian responded, her words tinged with a mix of disappointment and determination.. I won’t be present at your fourth.

"But did you come alone by any chance”, grace asked .

"Didn’t you have any man to bring along?" "You should have brought someone“ grace said in concerns and disappointment

"Remarrying isn’t something to brag about“ Lilian responded.

"And this is not the time for me to be dating mom“

"Yeah, who cares if you don’t have anyone you can snag a guy at the wedding" grace insisted.

Lilian underwent a stunning transformation, receiving a complete makeover, she looked absolutely beautiful. However, Grace had a surprise in store for her. With excitement in her voice, Grace called out to Lillian.

"Come closer, Lilian. I have something that will boost your confidence and make you feel amazing," Grace exclaimed eagerly.

Curiosity piqued, Lilian approached her mom, wondering what could possibly be in store for her. Grace held up a glass box, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Check this out," she exclaimed, revealing the contents inside.

To Lilian's surprise, the box contained bra pads. Confusion washed over her face as she tried to comprehend what her mom was thinking. "Um, what are these for?" Lilian asked, her voice laced with uncertainty.

With a warm smile, Grace explained, "These bra pads will give your figure a little lift and enhance your shape. They'll make you look fuller and more firm, boosting your confidence even more!"

"But Mom, I don't think I need them. I'm happy with how I am," Lillian protested, her voice filled with self-assurance.

Despite her objections, Grace insisted,

"I know you're beautiful just the way you are, Lilian. But sometimes, a little extra boost can make us feel even more confident. Just give them a try, okay? You might be surprised."

The scene was filled with mixed emotions as Lillian reluctantly complied with her mom's request. Grace took the bra pads from the box and wore it for lillian.

As the violinist played a sweet melody in the background and the outdoor breeze gently lifted the bride's veils, the guests were seated, eagerly awaiting the ceremony.

The priest instructed the bride and groom to exchange their vows. In the midst of it all, Lillian couldn't help but think to herself,

"Wow, she's really going through with this wedding."

"Now it’s time to present some special memories of the bride and groom in a slideshow presentation. Please look at the screen" the master of the ceremony ordered.

All eyes were fixed on the screen as the slideshow began. During the slideshow a picture appeared. Lillian couldn’t believe her eyes; she was left in disbelief. the whole guest also gasped.

These were pictures from her moms past, and it dawned on her that her mom had intentionally included them in the slideshow.

Lilian's embarrassment grew deeper, and she couldn't bear to stay at the wedding any longer. The whispers and gossip from some of the guests reached her ears, causing a wave of painful memories to flood her mind.

"I knew I recognized her face! She's an adult film actress," the hushed voices muttered, unaware of the impact their words had on Lilian. The echoes of past bullying and mockery resurfaced, intensifying the shame she felt.

These words triggered painful memories of her past, where she was bullied and mocked by her classmates. The weight of the shame became unbearable for Lilian, and tears welled up in her eyes. Without a second thought, she made the difficult decision to leave the premises. She couldn't bear to face the judgment and humiliation any longer.

Charles had been given a crucial task to deliver the magnificent wedding cake to the venue. With careful steps, he navigated his way towards the venue, ensuring the cake's safe arrival. But fate had other plans in store.

As Charles turned a corner, he collided with Lillian, who was running away from the wedding premises. In a split second, Charles instinctively reached out and grabbed her waist, preventing her from tumbling to the ground. The air was thick with tension as they both realized what had just happened.

"Ahh, you again," Charles protested, his voice filled with frustration. Lillian quickly composed herself, her eyes darting around before she swiftly made her escape.

The facility manager, witnessing the disaster that unfolded before their eyes, couldn't contain her anger. "I know you don't want to work here, but you shouldn't harm anyone else, at the very least!" She screamed, her voice echoing through the room.

Charles, feeling defensive, snapped back, "I told you, it was an accident! How am I supposed to dodge a woman who was running like an enraged bull?"

But before Charles could say anything else, the facility manager let out a piercing scream, interrupting their heated exchange.

"Do I look like I am kidding around?" she shouted, her voice trembling with a mix of anger and hurt.

Rolling his eyes in an exhausted manner, Charles sighed, realizing the gravity of the situation. "Yes, I understand. I was wrong. Happy?" he muttered, his tone laced with resignation.

The facility manager, still seething with frustration, stepped forward. "If you know that, apologize to her. Apologize to our valued customer whom you called an enraged bull," they demanded, their voice firm and unwavering.

Charles took a deep breath, his pride momentarily set aside. He knew that he had to make amends.
