“What happened?” Alex asked when he saw me walk in. I wasn't really after that question because my foot was hurting like hell.

“I don't know; why don't you ask Eric?” I simply replied.

“You both were supposed to be a couple in love; now the news says you are just a client throwing yourself at him.”
