C20

The cave gradually brightened up. The emaciated Lu Yifeng was nestled in a corner. Because the night was cold and he hadn't eaten anything all day, his face was very pale. The sound of the waterfall at the entrance of the cave was still as loud as before.

He was curled up in a corner, shivering from the cold, with dark circles around his eyes.

"I want to go out. There is nothing to eat here, and I don't have a bed to rest in. There is only death."

He said this in his heart.

After a while, he stood up. He swayed on his feet and had no choice but to walk while leaning against the wall. Step by step, he managed to reach the hole, but he didn't dare to rush out of the waterfall and jump down, because he didn't know how high the waterfall was. The brown colored box was still in the corner and could not be opened. The profound dragon secret manual was equivalent to a fictitious secret manual.

Disappointed, he sat back in the corner, squinting his eyes to catch up on the night's sleep. Just as he was half asleep, he suddenly heard a frog cry, or more accurately, the cry of a toad. Lu Yifeng immediately sobered up because as long as it was an animal, it was equal to his food. Whether it was a snake, bug, or ant, at this time, everyone was hungry for food.

He carefully observed every inch of the cave, but he didn't find any toads, not to mention toads. He had been in the cave for two days now, and there weren't even any ants.

Then the toad began to cry again, and in rapid succession. Lu Yifeng didn't use his eyes to look again. Instead, he calmed himself and listened. He was certain that there was a toad in this cave. He lowered his head and followed the cries of the toad in the direction it was coming from. Lu Yifeng followed the toad all the way to a corner. As he lay on the ground, the sound suddenly became very clear.

"Is there a toad underground?"

He knocked on it and found a small patch of soil in the corner that was soft and damp. The voice came again, and as if he had seen his lifesaver, he quickly gathered his strength to dig at the dirt. In a matter of seconds, he had dug half an arm deep into the ground. Suddenly, a golden object appeared in front of his eyes. He took a closer look and confirmed that it was indeed the toad.

"How can there be a golden toad in this world? Forget it, let's fill our stomachs first."

He reached into the hole and tried to grab the toad, but the toad was still making annoying noises even when he reached to the bottom and couldn't reach the toad.

He pulled his hand out of the pit and looked down again. The toad was no longer at the bottom. At this time, Lu Yifeng was startled. He muttered to himself in disbelief:

"Where did he go? Did he fly away?"

He reached out to dig the hole again, and suddenly his hand was sucked into another hole on the right, and it felt as if it had touched a mechanism.

Lu Yifeng thought that there was an earthquake, so he quickly took his hand out and ran to the cave entrance to look; he thought: If there is something that happens, I can also jump into the waterfall. It's one thing if I don't die, but I don't want a rock to smash me to death.

There were no rocks falling down from the inside of the cave, but the stone wall inside slowly rose up like a gate. With the end of the vibration, the stone gate also rose to the top. Lu Yifeng looked inside and discovered that there was another cave inside. He lifted his head and slowly walked towards the new cave. He saw several beams of light in the middle of the cave. His curiosity was piqued and he quickened his pace. When he had completely entered the cave, the door behind him seemed to have sensed something and dropped down with a 'bang'. The loud sound scared Lu Yifeng out of his wits.

"What is this?"

Lu Yifeng carried his body and looked around the cave. This cave was larger than the one outside. Green and black vines surrounded the entire cave. In the middle of the pond was a pool that looked very ancient. The pool was not big, and a few fish could be vaguely seen playing in it. The top of the cave was similar to the top of the cave outside. Both of them were tens of meters tall. In the middle of the cave was a crack the size of an adult's body. The sunlight shone through the crack into the pool.

"We finally have something to eat. We don't need to starve anymore. The weak sunlight should be able to dry our wet clothes a little."

He couldn't wait to take off his jacket and spread it out on the wall of the pool. Then he sat down on it, too, and for so long he couldn't see the sun, and this time he looked up into the crack and his eyes hurt. His eyes narrowed for a moment before opening again.

He compared the two caves. This one was better off with sunlight and food than the one outside, and it wasn't wet at all. He didn't feel very cold when he took off his clothes, so he took off his wet pants and wore only his underwear.

Perhaps it was the hunger and the cold, but he felt his body grow cold and weak, and his head began to blur again. He felt dizzy and wanted to vomit, but it was impossible for someone who had not eaten for so long to vomit.

"We can't do it anymore, hurry up and catch a fish. Even if there's no fire, we can eat it raw. At least we won't starve to death."

Lu Yifeng used his hands to fish around in the pond. After a while, he finally caught a fish the size of two fingers. He wanted to throw the fish against the wall so that it could be washed and eaten alive, but the fish suddenly broke free from his grasp and slid to the ground, rolling about.

Lu Yifeng used the last of his strength to throw himself at the fish. The fish seemed to have grown legs again as it rolled into a pile of weeds in the corner. He quickly crawled over to the pile of weeds and used his hands to pry it open. The scene before him startled him.

He touched a bone that was on the verge of rotting.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

He cried out and quickly threw away the bone in his hand. He was so scared that he fell to the ground, retreating with both hands on the ground.

"What is this? How can there be bones?"

Afraid that it had passed, he decided to take a good look at what animal's bones it was. He dug through the weeds again, and a complete human skeleton appeared before him. The skeleton was leaning against the wall. Judging from its appearance, it seemed like a person that had just died was staring at Lu Yifeng.

"Looks like someone has been here before, but who could it be? "Where is this place?"

With all kinds of questions in mind, Lu Yifeng turned the skeleton around, trying to find any clues to his identity. He didn't find anything on the skeleton, but he saw a few lines of indistinct words on the wall where the skeleton was leaning. Those lines of words were very hidden, and it was difficult for an ordinary person to find these words. He brought his eyes close to it and saw that the word was like a poem.

"There is no bright moon in the sky, and no gods in the earth. This is a heaven defying divine art, and one can fly with blood."

After reading these four sentences, Lu Yifeng couldn't figure out what was going on. He really couldn't think of any mystery. He lowered his head to meditate for a few seconds. He was unable to figure out the mystery, but he saw a small stone stove that had been lit on the right side of the skeleton. The small stone stove was made up of two fist-sized stones. There was also some wood carbon that was almost completely oxidized.

"Today, not only do we not need to eat raw fish, but we can roast them to a fragrant smell."

He quickly picked up the dying fish and threw it to its death, then used the pool to wash it clean. After finishing the fish, he had to patiently rub two pieces of stone against each other to start a fire. After failing dozens of times, Lu Yifeng used all his strength to finally start a fire on the dry weeds.
