C16 She Appeared in the Milk Tea Shop!

In the afternoon, Hsu Chiyang met with the president of C University and successfully negotiated.

Meanwhile, business was booming at Tianmu Milk Tea Shop, with many couples coming in to spend some quality time together. Xia Shirann was busy at the counter, constantly on the move—steaming milk, mixing drinks, sealing cups. The chubby owner was occupied at the computer but occasionally lent Shirann a hand when she needed it.

Just then, another couple walked in. The guy was tall and skinny, wearing black-rimmed glasses, while the girl was petite and sweetly holding onto her boyfriend's arm.

"What do you want to drink, Sherry?" the boy asked gently.

"I'll have a Strawberry Snow Bubble," replied Sherry, whose entire outfit had a soft, Japanese-inspired style that Shirann found quite charming.

"Alright," Shirann replied with a slight smile. She liked Strawberry Snow Bubble too, with its tangy sweetness.

"What about you, honey?" the girl asked her boyfriend.

He frowned slightly. "I don't really like those overly sweet drinks."

The girl's expression shifted from sunny to cloudy, her lips pouting in playful annoyance.

Seeing this, the boy quickly turned to Shirann and said, "Then I'll have your signature drink!"

Shirann smiled. "Our Taro Ball and Leaf Jelly is pretty good and not too sweet."

"Okay," the boy nodded.

"That'll be $4.50."

After paying, he gently coaxed his little girlfriend to a seat. The scene felt familiar, stirring something deep within Shirann's heart. She snapped back to reality, composed herself, and turned to busy herself at the counter.

Another customer approached, and a familiar voice rang out—

"I'll have a mango juice."

Shirann turned to see Hann, casually dressed, hands coolly tucked into his pockets.

"Hann?" Shirann was a bit surprised.

First, because she rarely ran into classmates at the milk tea shop—after all, it was quite far from school; second, because Hann's gaze was intense and unwavering, as if he had come specifically to find her.

"What do you like to drink?" Hann asked coolly. In his circle, he was surrounded by plenty of attractive and wealthy girls, yet he was drawn to this girl while waiting for the bus when his car broke down.

"Me?" Shirann furrowed her brow, pointing to herself.

Judging by the situation, Hann was about to offer her a drink again. So, Shirann politely declined with a smile, "All the milk teas here are great. I like them all."

As she spoke, Shirann's hands were busy sealing a couple's order, plating it, and quickly preparing the mango juice.

Shirann placed the mango juice on the counter, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Are you drinking it here or taking it to go?"

Hann's gaze deepened. "I'll drink it here."

Hann took the mango juice, and Shirann quickly delivered two cups of milk tea to a couple nearby. As she passed Hann's table, she could feel his eyes following her.

Feeling a bit awkward, Shirann's phone buzzed with a message from Mo: "This party's a drag. I'll swing by your shop later."

Suddenly, Shirann remembered something and checked Mo's social media. Sure enough, she found a photo posted half an hour ago with Hann in it.

Shirann was speechless: "Weren't you supposed to be singing karaoke with the girls? Why are there so many guys..."

Could it be that Hann found out she was working here through Mo? After all, Hann often came up with all sorts of awkward, suffocating excuses to meet her...

Like: "You guys have a fitness test coming up. I can help you train."

"Lots of people are catching colds lately. You should run more. How about a jog at 5 PM on the track? I can join you."

There were plenty of these "straightforward" invitations, and every time, Shirann would roll her eyes at her phone screen before finally replying, "Sorry, I have to work when I'm not in class, so I don't have much free time."

Since then, Hsiao Hann frequently asked her where she was working, but Xia Shirann never responded to him.
