C19 Bullying
She opened the forum and noticed a highlighted post with numerous replies. Curious, she clicked on it and found a lengthy article filled with animated images, mostly accusing her of being a tyrant who often bullied someone named Mu Tian'ai. The entire piece was dripping with disdain for her.
Qiao Lishan could easily guess that Chi Jinxi was behind it. She let out a cold laugh, "Can we trace the address of the person who posted this?"
"Well, that might require contacting the tech department. It's beyond our scope here," the department manager replied nervously, clearly reluctant to get involved in this mess.
Lishan's expression grew colder as she casually scrolled through the post, noting that most of the comments were insults directed at her.
"Qiao Lishan, playing on your phone during work, huh?" A familiar icy voice suddenly came from behind, startling her so much that her fingers trembled, nearly dropping her phone.
She turned around abruptly to find a stern face looming closer.
"Sorry, I failed to manage my employee properly. It's my responsibility..." The department manager immediately stepped forward, anxiously trying to take the blame.
"Failing to educate your staff is indeed your responsibility," Chi Tianche's sharp gaze pierced through the manager, almost causing his legs to buckle under the pressure.
"I..."
"I'm taking this employee with me," Chi Tianche said coolly, pointing at Lishan with an air of authority.
The department manager didn't dare to object and quickly agreed, "Yes, yes, you're absolutely right!"
"I didn't..." Lishan was fuming and ready to argue when Chi Tianche suddenly tugged her arm, cutting her off.
He led her to the break room, shut the door firmly, and leaned in. "Playing on your phone during work hours?"
"Uncle, this is the office. You're overstepping."
"Ha, your mother asked me to make sure you know how to work properly," Chi Tianche replied, stepping closer and cornering her.
As he looked at her delicate face, the coldness in his eyes faded, replaced by a gentle warmth.
To Lishan, this was unsettling, like a wolf in sheep's clothing, ready to pounce.
"Uncle, this is the break room, not your office."
"So, what happened? Someone giving you trouble?" Chi Tianche ignored her comment, pointing at her phone with a serious tone.
Lishan was taken aback.
How did he find out that she was being bullied? Had this matter spread not only throughout the entire company but also reached outsiders?
Lishan suddenly realized the gravity of the situation.
"It's just a post meant to smear me. I know exactly who is behind it, so there's no need for you to get involved," Lishan said, intending to bypass his cold gaze and leave the break room.
Suddenly, she was pulled back by an unexpected force into a cold embrace, surrounded by a familiar, crisp scent.
"What are you doing? Let go!" Lishan hurriedly tried to push Tianche away.
