"Don't make me sick. Even if you stood in front of me without a stitch on, I wouldn't feel a thing! And today, you must apologize to Tian'ai, or you can forget about getting anywhere near me again."

Lishan smirked, about to retort, when the door to Tianche's room suddenly swung open. She immediately stepped back, looking all hurt and wronged, "Jinxi, I just accidentally bumped into you, and you're accusing me of harassment?"

Her sharp cry caught Tianche's attention.

He frowned and walked over, grabbing Jinxi by the shoulder, demanding, "What did you do?"

"I didn't... I didn't do anything." Jinxi looked bewildered, clearly having done nothing wrong.

Lishan, however, had her face flushed, looking victimized and on the verge of tears.

"Jinxi, has the Chi family's upbringing meant nothing to you?" Tianche glanced at Lishan's face, scolding Jinxi with a look of deep disappointment.

Jinxi's expression shifted, "Uncle! How can you believe this woman's words? She's just trying to drive a wedge between us Chi family members."

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause any misunderstanding," Lishan said softly.

Her words only added fuel to the fire burning within Tianche. His brow furrowed as he cast a cold, sharp glance at Jinxi.

Jinxi felt a chill run down his spine, and his heart sank. He realized he had been played—by this young woman he had pursued for five years!

Rage erupted from within him. "Uncle, don't let this deceitful woman fool you. She's just a drama queen!"

"Shut up! You're disgracing the family!" Tianche growled, his piercing gaze fixed on Jinxi, as if he had committed an unforgivable sin.

"Uncle, don't be harsh on Jinxi. I'm sure he didn't mean it. I overreacted," Lishan said, her eyes narrowing, looking both wronged and afraid to speak up.

Her pitiful demeanor made Jinxi's eyes burn with anger. Damn it, he never realized Lishan was such a manipulator!

A girl like her must have bullied Tian'ai at school. He hadn't believed it before, but seeing her now, he was convinced. He felt guilty for misunderstanding Tian'ai and betraying her trust.

"In your eyes, is everything she does unintentional?" Chi Tianche's gaze was icy as he looked over.

Chi Jinxi was seething, his teeth clenched in anger as he glared at a trembling Lishan, then stormed off without a word.

"Wait, apologize!" Chi Tianche grabbed Jinxi's arm, forcing him to apologize to Lishan.

Lishan maintained her innocent facade, but her eyes glimmered with a mocking smile. She knew Jinxi was proud and would never accept such humiliation. Yet, she had endured this kind of humiliation for fifteen years, ever since Tian'ai had used these tactics to oppress her.

"Uncle, Tian'ai is waiting for me inside. Let go!" Jinxi said with a stern face, firmly refusing to apologize to Lishan.

Lishan stood her ground, her small fists clenched tightly, resisting the urge to lash out. Her gaze fell on Tianche, who was also watching her, his eyes more piercing than ever.

Tianche's expression darkened as he looked at Jinxi with displeasure and snapped, "Apologize!"

"Sorry..." Jinxi forced the words out through gritted teeth.

Hearing those words, the tension that had been building in Lishan's chest suddenly snapped.

She finally heard the three words she'd longed for in her past life, spoken from his lips.

Ha, this is just the beginning.

Chi Tianche finally let go of his arm, glaring at his retreating figure.
