C12 Meeting with Who?(part I)

"Someone's coming, and it's quite a crowd!" Jiang Qiyun said with a frown.

"How come I didn't hear anything?" Su Yu'an tilted her head, listening intently, but still heard nothing.

"Our young master is trained in martial arts; his hearing is beyond ordinary," Jiang Ann said proudly.

Su Yu'an glanced at Jiang Ann, her brow furrowing. If Jiang Qiyun wasn't mistaken, something unusual was definitely going on.

The temple rarely had visitors. In this city, people were too concerned with appearances. Even if they hoped for a windfall, they wouldn't easily come to the temple.

"Perhaps you should head back, Second Young Master Jiang. We can discuss unfinished matters another day," Su Yu'an suggested, standing and bowing to Jiang Qiyun.

Jiang Qiyun understood that if people saw him with Su Yu'an, it wouldn't affect him, but it might harm her reputation. So he nodded and said, "Alright, if there's anything, leave a message at Blessing Tower."

Wait, he owns a business? Su Yu'an suddenly wondered if she'd underestimated Jiang Qiyun.

"Okay!" Su Yu'an nodded and added, "If you need to talk to me, you can also go to the Treasure Pavilion."

Jiang Qiyun almost stumbled. No way, the city's top jewelry store, the Treasure Pavilion, was actually owned by Su's Third Branch?

Taking a deep breath, Jiang Qiyun smiled at Su Yu'an and said, "As they say, youth is for being bold!"

Su Yu'an was taken aback. Did he hear that right? But he was already nineteen, hardly a boy anymore, right? Nineteen... and he had a son at fifteen?

The thought made Su Yu'an's eyes widen.

From the moon gate in the backyard, Old Madam Su hurried over with Mrs. Yu, Lin Jiaoer, Su Yuxi, and Su Yuleng, only to find Su Yu'an sitting at the stone table, looking over the account books.

Old Madam Su and the others were momentarily stunned.

"Well, what brings Grandmother, Aunt, and my sisters here?" Su Yu'an asked, feigning surprise as he looked at Old Madam Su.

"What are you doing here?" Old Madam Su asked sternly.

"I'm just reviewing the shop's accounts," Su Yu'an replied, handing the account book to Danzhu, signaling her to put it away. "For some reason, my mind feels especially clear when I look at the accounts here at the temple."

"Are you here alone?" Lin Jiaoer asked with a serious expression.

"Of course not," Su Yu'an replied.

"Then who else is here?" Lin Jiaoer stepped closer, her gaze intense.

"Danzhu is here too," Su Yu'an said with a smile at Lin Jiaoer. "Perhaps Cousin Lin doesn't consider maids as people, but I regard Danzhu as a sister."

"And where does that leave us sisters?" Su Yuxi asked with a half-smile, looking at Su Yu'an.

Su Yuleng let out a disdainful snort, rolling her eyes to show just how unimpressed she was.

"Oh, is Second Sister still holding a grudge against Danzhu?" Su Yu'an chuckled, then turned to Old Madam Su, saying, "It's all my fault, Grandma. I lost track of time while balancing the accounts, and now you've had to come looking for me."

Everyone was a bit speechless at this. Did she really think she was so important that the old lady would come searching for her? But since Su Yu'an said it herself, it was hard for anyone to argue.

"What's that?" Lin Jiaoer stepped forward, picking up a jade button from the ground. "There's something written on it."

"What does it say?" Su Yuxi asked eagerly, leaning in to see. Then she exclaimed, "Oh, it's the character for 'Jiang'!"
