C1 Chapter 1

My name is Michael, I am 16 this year by the way today's date is 15th June year 2420 the day on which my life changed. I have a father who has a weird temper and a mother who is very loving and sometimes she is way scarier than Annabelle, moving on to the bigger picture

In this world I am an anomaly because I don't have any supernatural powers, let's say God forgot to give me any powers! Well, that's what I say to comfort myself against this unreasonable lifestyle. The more you don't have something the more you want it, and I am a crazy fan of superpowers. Okay let's get to the exciting part -"the power grading system" what are supernatural powers? Well, they are amazing. World was not supernatural a few centuries ago, precisely it all changed 400 years ago when supernatural beings visited this planet, good thing that our planet's luck did not run out, the beings that descended on our planet were kind ones and became current rulers of the planet, they abolished the country system of our planet

the planet where I live in is called "worlon"- also known as "dying of light" because the our world was on verge of demise but it was saved by the supernatural beings by bringing back the order.

About 400 years ago different governments tried to flex their powers against rival countries, due to the upheaval the common people formed groups to fight governments which lead to terrorism and bombing incidents luckily upon the arrival of 200 supernatural beings they took upon themselves to correct the ways of government. How did they do that exactly? Well, the 1st phase- was leaking the secrets of governments by covert means ! The 2nd phase was opening up companies during chaos, the 3rd phase was to reveal their existence, the 4th phase was teaching the common populace about supernatural powers.Now instead of countries fighting with each other it's more like individuals fighting with each other.

The 200 super natural beings are called as "Primordials" the primordials taught the things they knew to the "choosen ones". In worlon there are 200 countries where the 200 primordials rule . Each primordial is a force to be reckoned with , and they don't age at all, means they are as elegant as ever. Their physical powers vary but the most common type of power each primordials have is amazing freak-like speed. The average height of the male primordial is 2 meters and and female is 1.9 meters they mostly look like humans but have a lean figure with pointed ears like an elf and their facial features made anybody who glanced at them stupefied for minutes, their eyes were especially dazzling that looked as if a person was gazing at stars

Coming back to the unlucky me at age of 3, i gained awareness that I am "the broken one" who has no powers, so basically I focused on improving my stamina and I sprinted on my own because I didn't have stamina like normal people with powers basically every kid that came to track used to say this word " mommy at look that uncle is running at snail speed " and the response in my mind was - " who are you calling uncle, kid! 6 years of difference doesn't make me your uncle and according to history 11 sec/ 100 m is a good enough timing for normal humans"

Why am I blaming the kid! Who should I blame! Its not that I am complaining but it becomes a headache when you get the short end of the stick . I do have a friend who is named "Noah Cooper" only he was the one who stood up whenever bullies came to take advantage of me , my life I would say is manageable!There are phases in which powers mature 1st phase is at age of 2 where a normal child gains awareness and somewhat shows the potential. The 2nd phase is at age of 10 where a child basically matures and gain average level powers that are very useful . The 3rd and the last phase is at age of 17 when their powers grow exponentially and the teenager starts to gain decent control over their powers, at this age students are admitted into institutes where they are taught how to effectively use their powers

Why am i concerned about this? it's not like i would be admitted into the "supernatural's academy". I just have to focus on getting a proper job.

After getting up at 5:30 Micheal drank some energy drink and ran 15 km after coming back from track Practice, Michael started working on his shadow boxing skills till 8:30 after that he took a bath and cooked avocado toast with egg for himself and his sister and then he started reading about "modern artificial intelligence " while sipping chocolate milk, Michael understood very well if he wanted to become someone that is valued he has to work hard even though he does not compare to the geniuses out there, after that he left for school.
